Review titled I received urgent help
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Carol - Posted on 13 March 2025
I was in acute pain, I couldn't walk, my GP made a home visit. I was given medication, and then a referral was made for me to have an x-ray done. The response to my request was quick and efficient and was dealt with urgency. I thank the admin staff and doctors for their support and advice and help during my crisis. Thank you very much ❤️ five star 🌟 🤩.

Phones can take a while to be answered, especially at busy times. We do however offer a call-back service. If you choose this option, you can put the phone down and the system will automatically call you back once your call is nearing the front of the queue. I am not sure what gives you the impression that staff wish to get through speaking to you quickly. If you are referring to reception staff, they may well need to try to keep the call short as are likely to have other calls waiting to be answered. If you are referring to the clinicians, then they will spend as long as is needed to deal thoroughly with the issue you are contacting us about. They too may have a full workload, but generally have not been known to rush a consultation. I am sorry if you have received this impression.

On this and more than one previous occasion my regular blood thinners medication has not been processed by the GP before my supply has run out despite plenty of notice.

Review titled I’ve had a good experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2025
I know there’s been ‘needs Improvement’ ratings but I’ve found the doctors I’ve been seeing to be very thorough and given me sufficient time for my various ailments. I have also found reception to be helpful and polite. My only criticism is that there’s a trip hazard on the stairs leading up to the surgery with the carpet fraying and I actually saw a patient trip on it. I don’t know who is responsible for such matters but it needs fixing!

We are glad you had such a positive experience with the surgery. Thank you for high-lighting the issue with the stair carpet. There were some fraying threads on inspection, which we have removed. The carpets are all well stuck down however, so this issue should not occur again.

The doctors are attentive and professional. Although the system of getting an on the day appointment can have it's issues I usually get to see a Dr on the day. I don't feel rushed in the appointment and I feel listened to. The reception staff are good and listen to my concerns and address any issues promptly.

Dr. has been particularly outstanding. He takes the time to listen carefully to concerns, provide clear explanations, and ensure I feel involved in decisions about my care. During my last visit for eye problem, they were thorough in their assessment and arranged for further tests promptly, which gave me peace of mind. The reception staff are polite and efficient, always doing their best to accommodate appointment requests, even during busy periods.

Review titled Unsupportive staff
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 February 2025
At the request of the pharmacy, contacted the surgery to check when a prescription request made the previous week will be sent to the pharmacy. When it couldn't be found she started an argument and cut me off. I said I was anxious I'll run out of tablets, I had only 2 left. A while later I rang up to ascertain why she cut me off , A recorded message never heard before said they were not taking calls. So she has shown her power over an elderly patient. Is this conduct NHS approved. Is this included in her training when she joined the surgery.

Please contact the surgery and allow us to investigate this incident. We are unable to look into this as the comment has been left anonymously. We have no such message as the one you describe hearing when you rang the second time and I am not sure who you spoke to the first time, so would like to be able to investigate this. Thank you.
