  1. Review titled Awful with appointment system

Rated 1 star out of 5

Unlike other surgeries where you can book appointments in advance because it may not be urgent or life threatening. This surgery only allows you to book appointments on the day at 8am or 1pm. You call them and they tell you they can’t book anymore appointments but you can call 111 to get a slot with the surgery! I have tried calling the surgery 3days in a row, was also told to do e-consult! Tried waiting for an econsult Thursday morning at 8am they said try again Friday morning, Friday at 07:59 it said e-consult will be release from Friday 8:00am. On Friday 08:00am they have no availability till Tuesday 08:00am! I did not even get a chance… moreover I have a full time job. I can’t be sitting by the phone at 8am, 1pm just to be on a Q and not get an appointment 3 days in a row!

  3. Review titled My visit

Rated 4 stars out of 5

After trying to get an appointment I was 6th on the list. They phoned me back in 15 minutes and was able to get an appointment with the practitioner (a Mr not a Dr). He listened to me and then consulted a doctor. I waited a few minutes then saw a doctor. Both gentlemen were keen to sort out my problem. They booked me in for tests and reassured me they would sort me out. I left the surgery feeling satisfied with my visit.

  6. Review titled Dont get heard

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 May 2025

Been waiting 18 months for appropriate help with a painful foot which I'm in more pain now then ever but everytime I go back down to them they dont seem to hear or even listen to anything I'm telling them. Worse still i have been battling depression for the last 30 years and things have not been good. But recently i lost my mother and things are really on top of me. Struggling to even get out of bed some days. I have told the doctor, on at least 6 separate occasions I'm really struggling and have asked for medication. I started asking for that 8 months ago. Still waiting for any kind of help. They have definitely been a big part in why I'm still feeling desperate and hopeless

  9. Review titled Terrible Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Extremely rude and unprofessional receptionists, they do not care about their patients. Very difficult to get an appointment and will never be seen by an actual doctor, they just get a physician associate to examine your problem and they can’t even prescribe medication without doctor approval. Any time I have gone in for a problem they never solve it and take extremely long to respond. This GP surgery needs to be investigated and completely changed with its staff and appointment system.

  10. Review titled Local to me

by Joan Marshall - Posted on 30 May 2025

We have been with this practice over 40 years, we loved it when we could go along at 8am and get an appointment that day but find it more difficult now. I don't frequent doctors regularly but when I am ill I like to be sure of seeing someone. recently I put up with serious back and leg pain and suffered for over a week without help, then it got so bad I rang for an appointment, I admit it wasn't at 8am as I tried to hold off, when I did ring there were no appointments available but the receptionist advised me to call 111 which I did and they got me an appointment that same day at 3pm. That entailed 3 people to listen to my problem when I felt I could have been given this appointment by the receptionist. She looked at my record and she would have known I hadn't been there for a long time am not on any medication and I needed help. On that appointment I have had excellent treatment , given lots of tests and X-rays , the results of the X-ray came through on Tuesday a doctor rang me very concerned and referred me to the fracture clinic, the next day the fracture clinic rang me with an appointment all this happened in 6 days, thank you NHS. On this occasion you were wonderful. I must admit I find the system of booking things on the phone, being elderly it's not always straightforward my husband helps me but his health isn't good and his memory is fading so he took gets annoyed with the way things have become. It was so easy to just go around and get an appointment from the receptionist, they took have a difficult job as they can't tell people what they want to hear. I have to add over the years when I've needed to see a doctor they have always been good so I'm not complaining about the doctors just the system which is very difficult for the elderly. The End.
