  1. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by HJT - Posted on 10 February 2023

I had 2 appointments with the nurse regarding HRT. The whole experience was first class; I have had heard many stories from friends about bad experiences they have had from many different practices, but she was so knowledgable, helpful and understanding. I was given amazing advice, plus also advice on what to research for my follow up appointment, so I knew exactly what I was doing and what to expect. Delighted with my experience

  2. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I would like to commend a member of staff at the surgery for the excellent service I received when I was enquiring about HRT. I was given an in depth health assessment including bloods to indicate hormone levels, blood glucose, lipids amongst other biomarkers. The member of staff took time to explain, exactly what the treatment options were, the risks and benefits and answered all of my questions in depth. I felt that she was really engaged in me as an individual and was able to put me at ease and made me feel 'listened to'. The reception staff at the surgery were also very caring and helpful when I had an additional query with them, despite being very busy. Overall my experience was extremely positive and I would highly recommend this surgery.

Have been seen a couple of times this month. Calls were returned to me, and even reception phoned me back. I noticed a big turn around at kingwood and more patients inside surgery. I Think Kingwood is turning things around. Hallelujah

I was seen and examined unexpectedly. The senior nurse practitioner was understanding and sympathetic to what I had attended for. Discussed in full the problem

  5. Review titled A New all-time Low

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr Clive F Buckle - Posted on 19 December 2022

I was just sent home from Hospital after a mild TIA, No paperwork, just a post release phone call to increase medication. I tried to call this surgery at 10:30 am Monday for further advice and all that happened was the call was dropped immediately, no answer no recorded message, nothing. It is a total disgrace. Does patient care not exist anymore.

  6. Review titled No appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

I phoned to ask for an appointment for my young child as the NHS 111 online questionnaire service had recommended an urgent GP appointment. Before even asking my name or problem I was told I should have used the online service at 8am. I explained that I hadn't been able to access it that morning and was told by the receptionist that if I really needed an appointment then I would have prioritised my health, thank you, goodbye and they hung up. I understand that the staff are under pressure but this level of service is dangerous. They didn't ask me what my problem was, who the appointment was for or advise me of an alternative option. What if someone rings who is having a mental health crisis or has a child with potentially life threatening symptoms? Try again tomorrow without even asking the most basic triage questions is just not good enough. The online booking system is totally flawed if it doesn't have some flexibility beyond 8am - children especially can take a turn for the worse from one hour to the next and to be told at 9.30am to prioritise their health more efficiently and you may get an appointment tomorrow is not good enough and could have consequences that don't bear thinking about.

  7. Review titled Appointment request

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I think the system to request an appointment is a great way to speak to a medical practitioner. I appreciate all medical problems cannot be resolved over the phone but I my phone call within 24 hours triage and further action to be taken by me. Excellent service. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Once you get in the system it’s ok!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Trying to get an appointment, initial Contact or follow up is extremely challenging - even for me as a computer literate person. Once It was agreed I could have a followup appointment I was given a 5 hour window to wait for a phone call. This isn’t acceptable when, if I’d come into surgery I would have been given a time - whey can’t that happen with phone calls? Understandly they may run late but it would ease the anguish of waiting 4.5 hours as I have today for a call that last 3 minutes.

  9. Review titled Good when you can get through and past reception

Rated 2 stars out of 5

This surgery has a serious issue with dealing with enquiries. I went to the surgery to try to book an appointment to see someone and was sent away being told to use text service. I subsequently did and was advised a reply would be received within 2 days. A week later I had to try and call to chase. After 5 attempts and 45mins on the phone I was able to explain my predicament. When I spoke to the nurse practitioner she was excellent, reassuring and understanding.

  10. Review titled Dreadful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Surgery always closed for some unforeseen circumstance, closed again today for some training. When you finally get to book an appointment it is for coutof weeks time and there is no email or any confirmation. Absolutely shocking surgery. Waste of space, time and money
