    My father had a heart attack and was atmitted to hospital. He stayed there for 10 days and a stent was fitted . On his discharge his repeat prescription was denied by the doctor . I was told by the chemist to speak to the doctor the next day. My father is 70 years old. He is on 12 different medication , he went to bed with no medicine today . I need to call the doctor tommrow.i even beg the chemist for medicine he refused. My father is on repeat prescription for the last 2 years on the same medicine.after 9am it's impossible to call island health.

    Today i am de-registering from this GP. If you are thinking of being accepted as a patient, don't even think about it. It's impossible to get an appointment. The people on the phone are gatekeepers and it's nearly impossible to speak to the doctor. I have failed dismally to even get a telephonic appointment since i joined them. I was straight up told to call 111 on two occasions now. What's the use for GP if i am told to call 111 all the time?

    What is this diabolical new appointment system, where one cannot pre-book appointments? I have tried to make an appointment for my toddler for almost 2 weeks; on the E-consult from 7:50 sharp for the 8am opening and by 08:10 on the phone - the same message - you have no appointments available. Whilst, I appreciate the constraints the practice experiences having been a patient for almost 20 years - and often, been compassionate and understanding when the service has fallen short of patient standards. I cannot simply reason with how this could be safe - when a mother cannot make an appointment for her 2 year old for almost 2 weeks? Appalling!

    I had a blood test appointment and as always there was an issue.. The nurse was not able to see the request on the screen and she told me to talk to the doctor again to send a blood test request. It’s not the first time happening, I hardly book an appointment with the nurse then she tells she can’t see the request on her screen. I’m not sure if the doctor is not able to use the system or the nurse is not able to see what requested.. waste of time…

    I can’t believe how bad GP surgeries have become and why is it so difficult to get an appointment? Online consultation system is so confusing also I couldn’t access it even first thing in the morning, I was on it at 8am and same message keeps popping up to try again the next day and on the phone the receptionist says maybe the capacity has reached for the day how is it that possible at 8am that’s when both the online and phone system opens. It’s all lies very disappointing and shocking how bad things have become since I last visited the surgery. I don’t often visit or call the GP didn’t realise it’s become like this. Receptionist on the phone are rude sound so miserable and unhelpful, I mean if your not happy go into another profession why ruin the mood of others. I’m very upset I’ve been with Island Health my whole life this is not how it used to be. I’m sure the management have changed and it’s terrible now!

On 29th June was an exceptional day as we are having planned building work for which all patients were advised of via text as we anticipated there maybe a few issues, however, we remained open and provided a full service albeit slightly slower than usual. We are sorry we did not meet your expectation and hope to provide a better service going forward.     Despite all the challenges of a growing population and reduced funding, Island Health has been providing an excellent service to our local community in the Isle of Dogs. The doctors are always helpful, always considerate and reply to consultation requests in a timely manner. Our whole family is very lucky to be looked after such a fantastic group of clinicians. The specialist nurses are also very excellent. Thank you Island Health for all you’ve done for us over the last 20 years.

    Something's changed....something good ..I've been feeding back about the impossible telephone service for some time...you've changed it ..it's great! Your new patient navigators are real people who ..so far..have put me through to the right services at the right time. I wait in a q still...but it's a lot less time. Thanks for changing this ...your staff are excellent...not perfect..nothing is...sometimes I need to re state and explain...but thank you very much. This decision has transformed my experience with you. Bravo to the decision makers who have obviously listened to patient feedback.. and acted. Almost make me want to resume my career in service improvement!
