  1. Review titled Honiton Surgery Useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 June 2025

I have been bitten over 3 times the past few months and each time the area swells up with a infection. This has caused extreme stress and has made me feel quite ill to be honest because of my other ongoing health issues so I decided to fill out the online consultation form with Honiton surgery and explain my symptoms. With in a few minutes literally I received a text message simply advising me to visit my local pharmacy. It is quite obvious that the receptionists at Honiton surgery have taken this apon their selves to suggest this rather than letting obtain help from a clinician, they are simply passing the buck as it were. If I wanted to to get advice from a pharmacy I would have done so but what the receptionist are too thick to understand is I have other health issues that a pharmacy will not be able to take into account and will most likely tell me to get back to my GP anyway. I do not appreciate the receptionist in making a judgment on my health issues, they are not doctors at the end of the day and are putting patients like me at risk!

  2. Review titled New lease of life

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After suffering with back pain for 5 years gp's have been happy prescribing repeat pain meds. Dr ******* however wanted to review me before prescribing and im glad she did, she changed my painkiller to something much more effective and im now just achy occasionally and not feeling any pain, even after heavy lifting at my job for 13 hours. Im now able to be an interactive parent with my young children. Its been a game changer.

  3. Review titled Supportive and helpful practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs HELEN ROULSON - Posted on 23 April 2025

I know things have had to change in the way we need to be triaged by app or phone, but for us, my husband and I, who can do this we find it very efficient. I had something on my skin I wanted checked, link for uploading photo sent and responded to. My GP wasn't sure so text me back a face to face appmt for 10 days time which is completely acceptable. Also impressed how a recent issue with my husband has been linked in with our GP and she checked in with him. This practice has also had very difficult circumstances a few months ago with a devastating burst pipe damaging a significant part of the treatment areas. The public were kept informed through social media in how to deal with varying degrees of serious medical needs. Well done everyone, it must have been one of your biggest challenges since covid in 2020. I hope this practice can attract great GP's to keep vacancies filled. Thank you for all you try to do to be fair to the most serious cases day by day.

  4. Review titled Certain physicians at honiton surgery not helpful at all!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 November 2024

We are all having to resort to telephone consultations lately as it seems physicians just don't want to see you anymore and sometimes that is fine, however when certain ones like Dr s.g at the Honiton surgery practice says to you straight away on one of those telephone consultations that they are having to phone around people all day as if it's the patients fault it does not help at all. I was made to feel that I was a hinderance and so I could not explain the problems I was experiencing properly and so consequently I did not get the help I needed, It left me extremely emotional and upset. And to top it off just before the end of that telephone consultation before I could say another word the physician quickly cuts the call immediately, is it so hard to even say a simple good bye if nothing else? We are led to believe the physicians are there to help us and in general they are and very good but there are certain ones that are clearly and blatantly dam right rude!

  7. Review titled Decussing response

Rated 1 star out of 5

Just rang the Surgery to make an appointment for my husband. To be told he has to ring and make it himself and that I cannot do it for him Was the advice from the practice manager who refused to give her name? The Receptionist receptionist was kind enough. But came across. I've not knowing whether she can make appointments or not. The practice manager who refused this appointmeneeds to go on an empathy course. Shame on her and shame on the doctors for employing somebody like her!!!!!

Both my wife and myself have had to contact the surgery this month about medical issues. On both occasions we had contact with a GP within three hours of making an online request and medication prescribed or the issue resolved. Very happy with our treatments.

  9. Review titled Really disappointing

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 February 2024

My daughter called on 2nd February 2024 at 6.05 got through to the answer machine and was told she was number 1 in the queue, this carried on until 6.30 25 minutes!!! then they closed. No message that they were closing just kept saying you're number 1 in queue. Seemed they couldn't be bothered to take her call. Really uncaring so leaving this as positive feed back.

  10. Review titled Kind, thoughtful and helpful Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jen Barton - Posted on 14 February 2024

My GP wasn't working today and I needed a repeat prescription. I last had this med Sept 23 and only take it when necessary with my GPs permission. Pharmacy wouldn't repeat it because of the long gap, I can't get to Surgery because of extreme pain, I felt I was being punished for taking meds as needed with agreement of my usual GP. Today spoke with a receptionist who was very kind, passing my request on to a Doctor who promptly rang me and arranged a repeat prescription. Thanks to both because I needed help for the pain. Fantastic Service, kindly and thoughtfully given.
