  1. Review titled Always had caring experience

When seeing nurses about swollen legs, they commented on my laboured breathing and sent for the on-call doctor. She gave me an ECG and took a blood test. Early next morning my GP contacted me and sent me to the R D & E hospital where I was diagnosed with blood clots on my lungs. I was kept in overnight, having been prescribed a warfarin type drug which has cured the problem. Their prompt attention may have saved my life. I cannot be more grateful.

  2. Review titled terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

After a week of leaving intensive care, I wished to discuss a few worrying points with my doctor, or any doctor. The receptionist said she couldn’t agree that unless I explained more. She had my discharge letter in front of her which gave more than enough details of my condition. I was not prepared to discuss personal details with a non-medical person but said I was happy with a phone appnt, I felt unwell and without saying to her the added fact that I was fearful of a few things. She continued to say no. I could have an appnt middle of august to talk to a dr (3 weeks) or an actual appnt end of august (5 weeks). Having worked clinically for the NHS all my life, I felt let down and appalled that a receptionist should decide whether my case was deemed important enough. Not an ounce of sympathy or indeed empathy - just a receptionist full of self importance. I am moving practice. I can well believe the comments before if fake reviews.

  3. Review titled Lack of care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I myself have had issues with some doctors dismissing concerns but today I waited over an hour for my daughters appointment to be told her cough that has been happening for nearly 4 months is just a winter cough. Not asking me questions about her coughing ect just listening to her chest and dismissing us after a one minute check.

  4. Review titled Perfect example of up to date nursing!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I accompanied my teenage daughter to a vaccine appointment and was so impressed with the care she received from the nurse. The nurse was so friendly and welcoming, and did her utmost to make my daughter feel at ease. The nurse spoke directly to my daughter, which we found totally refreshing, as when I'm present I find questions about my daughter are directed to me. Thank you, you made the surgery a place where my teenager feels welcome and cared for!
