The two medical professionals I came into contact with both last Friday and again yesterday (Monday) gave me prompt and thorough treatment. Their determination to be ‘better safe than sorry’ and their insistence on me getting an ultrasound yesterday meant that I was quickly diagnosed (with what could have been a very serious issue) and immediately started on appropriate treatment. I was also strongly advised not to wait if I encountered anything that concerned me whilst I was waiting for my appointment and to immediately either call the practice or the hospital - something I probably would have been reluctant to do had I not been encouraged to. Thanks to these two professionals, I received a very rapid appointment at the hospital Please pass on my sincere appreciation and gratitude

I have a number of symptoms which have turned out to be a serious heart problem. From the doctors opening remarks, faced with a patient and symptoms she did not know, she was concise, precise and helpful. As well as her professionalism she has a kind and helpful manner.

I’m not feeling great at the moment , probably the lowest I’ve ever felt in my life! Highbridge Medical Centre could not have been nicer and shown more empathy than they have recently ! Promises made by other people and organisations mean nothing if you’re let down! What is important is your health , treatment and care , and, life itself! HMCentre have saved my life which no words can repay ! It’s not always easy to see a doctor but the phone calls I’ve had , have been enough for me to know that some people really care! You can’t train people to show kindness and empathy and show they really care! It’s a natural quality that people have and I’ve found that with Highbridge Medical Centre. I was in big trouble and they’ve been wonderful to me! Especially the lovely person (A) who called me , probably not expecting the outburst of emotion I showed ! I’m sorry for that but she was so lovely to me and said the right words and showed empathy when others haven’t and didn’t make me feel bad for being upset! Thankyou!! Nhs has it critics but I Thankyou all and will be eternally grateful for everything you’ve done and continue to do for me! From Hmc with first diagnosis , through Musgrove park hospital to Highbridge medical centre after care , Thankyou so much ! The person on the phone is the first point of contact and is very very important for patients mental health! We need you!! Keep up the good work!! Very kind regards and forever grateful , Rich

I cannot recommend this practice enough. Visited the nurse today and she went out of her way to make my visit pleasant without any stress. Had a call from the practice, who has also been very helpful and reassuring. I walk away with a smile on my face after each contact with the wonderful people from Highbridge Medical Center. Very grateful for their fantastic service.

Expected a Doctor’s call back but was in a low reception area so missed call. Receptionist was very helpful getting a message to doctor explaining what happened. In the meantime the doctor went out of their way and contacted my spouse to explain they will phone again. What service and a huge relief knowing they will phone again. Hugely appreciated. doctor was very helpful sorted out issue and offered additional advice. 5 star service to the receptionist and Dr m. It’s a great relief to know the surgery has my back in need. Keep up the great work.

My husbands annual medical review was due December 2023, he has now had 6 appointments cancelled, the last being 8th April. Surgery is giving the reason is due to sickness, however I fail to understand how they can determine this the week before the appointment. They have given him another appointment in 5 weeks time. This is causing stress to all of us as we cannot plan our lives around these cancellations and causing undue confusion for him, a person that is in his late 70's.

We are sorry to hear that you had this experience when contacting the surgery. I understand that some time has passed however should you wish to discuss this matter further please contact the surgery to speak to a manager. Unfortunately on occassions we have to alter or cancel patients appointments, especially when around staff sickness. There are occassions when we have multiple members of staff off at a time or consecuativly that causes these unexpected and frustrating cancellations. Some times this can mean moving a patient that has already been reschedualled. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused at the time by these cancellations.

My husband was very ill phoned for appointment with chest pains they said they would call with appointment two days no call we ended up in Aand E because doctor would not see him even though was coughing up blood receptionist didnt care very bad experience

We endevour to see patients within a safe and timely mannor and on some occassions patients may be directed to other NHS services more appropriate to manage their illness/condition.

I wanted to share a review of how great the staff on duty at Highbridge medical centre today. We were supporting a man with complex learning difficulties who unfortunately was incontinent in the waiting room. The reception staff & other practice staff really went out of their way to help us with him. Additionally it was absolutely wonderful to have a GP that was willing to do what was in the individuals best interests and get a full blood test even though it was a bit of a battle to do so. I am ever so grateful to everyone involved it really meant a lot

Have received excellent treatment over last 23 years. Also very supportive when my husband was very ill prior to his passing away in 2021. My medical treatment this week was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Thank you.

The practitioner went out of their way during my routing screening, to make it as comfortable and painless as possible. At the same time they also offered such kindness and support by listening to me during the procedure. It didn't just make an very uncomfortable procedure easy it also made my day so much brighter.
