    Called into the surgery for an appointment to have my cortisone injection, receptionist was polite and so helpful, put me through for a call back and the surgery called me earlier than expected offered me a same day appointment which I could not make so saw me when I was available. Injection was pain free and expertly given, with exceptional friendliness and advice.

    I’ve always had a lovely experience with this practice where staff are really helpful and listen to what you say. I’ve had loads of help from them and they are always looking for ways to help and they’re so friendly and nice. Makes going to an appointment loads easier

    I would like to thank everyone at the Hereward Practice. The receptionists have always been friendly & helpful. When phone appointments have been arranged with my doctor I have heard back quickly. Recently I have struggled with anxiety. I cannot thank my doctor enough for their patience, kindness & advice. They never made me feel as though I was wasting their time. I hope I am now through the worst but my doctor still said “you know where I am if you need to talk” You can’t ask for more. Thank you.

    I described my symptoms using the NHS doctrin app and was phoned by the doctor before 9 am the following day. The consultation was thorough and sympathetic and there seems to be a noticeable improvement the day after.

    I used the Doctrin service at my practice as I find it convenient and easy to use. I reported my concern, answering a few questions and submitted it to the practice. I received a response within a few hours and at my convenience I responded. I was offered an appointment with the Dr within a day, and was seen promptly. I find the service of Doctrin very convenient, and I have used it a number of times, with the same prompt response and have always been flexible with appointments when needed and great advice without having to take time off work to sit in a waiting room, trying to park etc. Highly recommend.

    Your Review: The Receptionist ladies have been extremely helpful and understanding in dealing with me and setting up a telephone call with my Doctor. They set up a photo link for me to send a photo to help with my Doctors diagnosis, which I think saves a significant amount of time, so that I do not have to attend the surgery and take a space for someone with a more urgent need. My Doctor responded within 1 hour of my request for a consultation which is excellent service from my GP. Iam pleased to send this message as too much negative press is constantly with us, and this positive message is helpful to my GP surgery.

    Went to the surgery this morning and got very prompt treatment . All staff I encountered were excellent. Lovely receptionist, nurse and doctor. Very grateful for wonderful treatment.

    Always had great help at the practice. Receptionist are friendly and efficient. Doctors have always been kind and supportive, not felt rushed. Rang today at 8, had call back at 9 and appointment at 10. I would recommend this practice and feel we are very lucky to have this on our door step

    I would like to express my gratitude to the entire Herward staff, from the receptionists, always smiling and ready to help, to the nurses, Doctors for their continuous care. It goes without saying that all this is made possible thanks to the management staff, usually working behind the scene and don't interact directly with the public.     My wife collapsed in the bathroom on Monday, called the surgery only to wait 3.5 hours for a call back. After brief consultation was told to go to A& E, waited there for 5.5 hours, treatment was blood pressure check and general check over. Why could we not have seen a GP and not wasted valuable A&E time. Wondering if we will ever see our doctor again. Every time we call the normal diagnosis is go to A&E, how can diagnosis be carried out over the phone surly the GP cannot see how you are feeling and understand that you would not call unless urgent. Please try and get this sorted as the service we received since Covid is no longer at the standard before, we are not time wasters, when we call we really do need to see our local GP.

    Dear Patient Thank you for adding feedback on your recent experience. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the service you received from the practice. Covid has changed the way that most practices work on a day to day basis. All patients have an initial phone consultation with a clinician and if required a face-to-face consultation is subsequently arranged. Our clinicians are very busy; in the week that you refer to they did over 700 phone consultations and as a direct result arranged 173 same-day face to face appointments. It may be appropriate, in the context of potentially life-threatening symptoms, to direct a patient straight to an Emergency Department to receive appropriate investigations into the cause. Patient confidentiality is very important to us so we shall not go into the specifics of your case online, however if you would like to raise a formal complaint with the surgery please contact the practice manager directly so that we can investigate it thoroughly and respond to you in person.
