It is extremely difficult to make an appointment at this practice. It seems they put barriers in the way to avoid providing the service they get paid for. I wanted to arrange a non urgent appointment anytime but was told to ring back because they are currently booked up until March and the booking system will not go beyond this date. I have been told to do this on a previous call and when I rang back was told there were no appointments. This practice is not fit for purpose!

For years I have struggled with my digestive tract and have visited the doctors lots on and off over the years with it. I went to the surgery to see a Doctor I haven't seen before who listened carefully to all my symptoms. For once this doctor looked at the cause of my pain and didn't just treat the symptoms with more useless medication. She recommended trying the Fodmap way of eating and it turns out that I was basically poisoning myself all this time! For the first time in years I am symptoms and pain free. Can't thank her enough for listening.

whenever i call for an appointment even an emergency appointment for my 8 yr old child i always get told the next app is around 8 weeks, if my child is crying and unwell i cannot wait 8 weeks, what are we meant to do!!! The staff on reception are rude and none understanding, only advise they can give is to call 111 or go on econsult which i have done and it advised site is only open during branch hours, when i explained this to her she said well the surgery is open so you can do it online. advising her that i know its open as i can only tell her what is on the screen. no help at all! doctors seem the same just now the NHS is a disgrace

There are no appointments for this surgery unless you call at 8 am which you can never get through and if you do get through you get told there are no appointments left but you can pre book an appointment but the nearest appointment they have is a month away, what about if you are poorly now a month is no good there’s no in between, I have serious long term health conditions and I currently have tonsillitis and a chest infection but I can’t do anything about it because I can’t get passed the receptionist, and she told me to call 111 but they don’t know my medical history or what medications I take and what I am not allowed to take, that’s why I have a gp they know me and what I can take for my chest, the receptionist’s don’t take these things into account

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you have not been able to get an appointment with the practice. We do have a limited number of appointments available for urgent on the day matters every day. These are available at 8am and can be booked over the phone or in person at reception. Unfortunately these do sometimes go quite quickly and regret that once they are all booked we have no further appointments for that day. However we do have a number of alternative services we can refer you to: We can refer you to our community pharmacy service, where you will receive a call from a pharmacist of your choice within 4 hours. You can also book via online triage which is available through our website www.greenbankmedicalpractice.co.uk, these requests are passed to the GP's and acted upon within 48 hours. Our receptionists will also offer 111 as a means of seeing a healthcare professional once our appointments have been booked. 111 do have access to your medical records and so can see your history and the medications you are currently on and not allowed to take. We do also allow prebookable appointments for non urgent problems. I hope this helps you for future contacts with the practice. Please do contact us if you continue to have problems. Our complaints manager is Lyndsay Vasey and she can be contacted on gmicb-old.greenbank@nhs.net

  5. Review titled No service

I’ve called this practice multiple times during operating hours and it says they are not able to take my call. I can’t book any appointments online and it isn’t saying why. I was automatically signed up for this practice when I moved to the area now I don’t know where to go for my treatment otherwise.
