Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ted Ryan - Posted on 30 September 2024
I saw the paramedic at the surgery and he was extremely helpful. He later did a follow up after the appointment to check in which was very appreciated and also done the referral that was needed.

I was seen promptly by the paramedic. He took trouble to accurately determine my medical issue. He listened attentively to me, and prescribed appropriate medication. I left satisfied with my treatment.

Review titled Great practice, left me feeling much less concerned
Rated 4 stars out of 5

The doctor I saw said I could use his name, but this page says not to. He was extremely helpful and communicative. Every test he performed was explained in detail, as well as what the results showed. He was able to tell me things that my A&E visit failed to tell me, and explained that they may have made a false diagnosis. He was very down to Earth and friendly, and made some witty jokes. Overall, I feel much less anxious and a bit more certain of my illness and how long it could be until I'm better. He made plenty of recommendations and provided a great overall GP experience.

Review titled Thankyou for your service when I need you
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anita Crawley - Posted on 26 July 2024
Despite the pressure the Surgery is obviously experiencing I can't fault the continued care and attention to my ongoing issues. I'm treated with respect and courtesy and recently I had a call from a member of staff to check how I was even though I hadn't requested. Our Health Service is broken but I believe the Surgery always tries to help it's patients when it can

Review titled Very rude administration member

I had to contact the surgery on behalf of my 88 year old mother in law regarding some stockings for her legs that are swollen and one has a dressing on thru gave her 4 but 2 got soiled and as we weren't told we had to wash them we discarded them she rang me to tell me in no uncertain terms she couldn't have any more and that she would have to wash them she was very rude this isn't the first issue we have had my mother in law is hard of hearing and needs her old hearing aids replaced audiology at St Albans were amazing said they'd send someone to her home but they needed her gp's surgery to check her ears for wax so my husband went round to tell them and they refused to do it even after audiology emailed her as well they are still refusing they are awful and I would rather not have a GP than go there

Review titled Seen on same day
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 June 2024
I called the surgery to make an appointment for my baby but was told they were at capacity and I had to call 111. 111 referred me back to the surgery as an emergency and the team at Everest house responded really well putting me through to the doctor, my daughter was then seen that day by her own doctor. I was very pleased about this as the surgery was clearly short staffed but made sure to get her a quick appointment. I'm also really grateful that we still have assigned family doctors at this surgery, as I know many places no longer do. It makes a real difference to see a doctor who has known me since my childhood, who I trust and respect, and who now also sees my daughter. I feel Everest house is working really hard in very difficult times for the NHS.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience of the practice. Whilst we do not like to signpost patients away from the practice there are times where we need to consider how we manage the influx of incoming requests and ensure timely access to the correct clinical services. I was reassured to read that our systems are working effectively and safely and hope that your daughter is now feeling better. Kind regards Lisa Flaherty Practice Manager
