I’m very grateful for all of the help and advice given to me today by receptionists, doctors and nurse practitioners. My query was dealt with quickly by the receptionist who passed it on to the relevant people. This is a great caring practice that I have been with for over 40 years.

Saw the practice mental health nurse within 3 weeks of referral and had an immediate referral to the mental health team, my initial phone assessment was inside a month and had my face to face assessment 5 or 6 weeks after that which gave rise to an initial diagnosis that I've been trying to get for decades. Couldn't be happier

The practice in Peterlee were outstanding in their response to our family emergency. My husband took really poorly in my car and it pointed to a heart problem. I was so distressed and entered the surgery without appointment ( not even our GP surgery). I left my car abandoned in the car park and ran in for help. Within seconds the girl on admin went for a NP and she came to the car park. Oxygen was required immediately and he was taken into the surgery where he received that and numerous other tests. Ambulance was called and within a short time frame we were on our way to hospital. I cannot praise enough the care, compassion and professionalism shown to a very upset and distraught family. You pulled out all the stops and responded to an unexpected demand on your time with a genuine interest in resolving this medical emergency. My experience with the medical profession has not been a good one over the years (excluding district nurses) but this experience I feel needs highlighting and the people involved should know that we are indebted to them. Angels in disguise and worthy of recognition. They were calm, warm, supportive and capable. Thank you does not seem enough but from the bottom of our hearts we do mean it. Removing the walk in from this area is certainly detrimental to the local communities. Appointments with GP in some surgeries is abysmal. Seeing the same doctor is almost impossible. This positive experience from this outstanding surgery should be recognised and hence my review.

Called for an appointment was provided one for a week later 10 miles away from where I live to be told there’s nothing they can do and to re-phone the doctors and request bloods tests and a referral for X-ray . What a waste of time

I am very disappointed with the poor level of clinical and administrative skill. On two occasions I found staff on the telephone to be very rude and condescending. I am type 1 diabetic and the practice refused to issue my insulin on 03 July 2023, which caused me to be hospitalised. The communication is poor between receptionist and the doctors as they struggle to identify the difference between a telephone appointment and a face-to-face appointment and fail to communicate cancellations. I will be leaving this practice as I do not have confidence with a level of education, skill and competency as I have to prioritise my own well-being and I find this practice is not capable to meet my needs. Maybe this may change in the future providing an adequate level of training and education is utilised.

Friendly and professional service, help and advice,it is quite clear from my point of view that the nurse's regard patient's welfare, before a pay cheque, which is not the case with some Doctors,

I see the nurses at kelloe 4 days a week, the receptionists and the nurses are all very friendly, the nurses are good listener's if you have a worry, will discuss any problems you may have and are just an all round great team.

Very caring staff, I was poorly when there with out an appointment. Nothing was a problem they took care of me and made sure I was in good hand. Its the most care Dr's practice that I have ever been cared by and I am eneternally grateful. Thanks again
