  1. Review titled Waiting Time

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I phoned Earls Barton and Penvale Park Medical Centre today and tried to use the link but the options did not match my query. I phoned again and selected the prescription query option but was diverted to reception and waited 1hour and 12 min before my call was answered and dealt with.

  2. Review titled Absolutely appalling

Rated 1 star out of 5

Very dangerous attitude to vulnerable patients. They claim they had issued prescriptions but didn’t actually forward them to the pharmacy. Admin lied and invented ‘rules’ to get out of the situation they had created. Do not understand the NHS constitution or the laws surrounding patient care

  3. Review titled Could not find an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Paul Hewitt - Posted on 02 December 2024

Impossible to book an appointment. I could not get through on the phone and no availability on line. I now rely on the Corby care centre or 111. I’m not sure what the point is of a doctors surgery that doesn’t see patients. I am currently looking for another surgery.

  4. Review titled Such apathy and incompetence

Rated 1 star out of 5

Literally hours after returning from having a blood test taken - I get an email saying I needed another blood test. Can’t get through to talk to any on then from receptionist to the doctors I have never encountered such apathy of customer service and a total disregard for helping a patient- truly dismal !

  5. Review titled Inept service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 November 2024

Three different members of staff made a promise to take action to solve our problem and none of these promises were upheld. We were promised phone calls which didn’t materialise, given specific days when action would have been taken when none was, and assured that alternative medication would be prescribed and it wasn’t. Totally unhelpful in what was a very stressful situation. Appalling service.

Had an abnormal blood test result and was messaged to see a doctor- tried to book but no appointments available in the next 16 weeks ! The same page offers services to new patients ? Absolutely awful service from a surgery I have been with for over 20 years

  7. Review titled Some excellent, some....

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Wendy Stanton - Posted on 20 October 2024

The receptionists are always kind, cheerful and helpful! Recent appnt with Dr Bart was outstanding !!! He was really thorough, patient, interested and concerned. No pomp, airs-and-graces or poor attitude. The appointments were running very late but he is worth waiting for! On another note the call-on-the-day appointment system must be revisited; if no appointments then try the next day or the next or the next etc; so many things could be treated early but are left toooo long. Also I'd like to know what happened to the system of sending pics to dermatology directly please Thank you!

  8. Review titled Earls Barton pharmacy review- phenominal

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Megan swan - Posted on 30 August 2024

I called the GP practice for an appointment for strep throat. I was meant to receive a phone call but nothing happened. I called my the pharmacy to see if they could help and I was seen in 20 minutes. I was seen by a locum pharmacist, the consultation was thorough and efficient. He treated me with kindness. I left with the antibiotics I needed quickly after. Wonderful service.

Dear patient, We are sorry that you have had to comment regarding your appointment issue. May I ask if you could contact the Practice and ask to be transferred to Extension 2012 and ask for Ms Higgs who will seek to rectify your issue. Kind regards Practice Manager

  10. Review titled Asthma

Rated 1 star out of 5

Waited on phone for half an hour without moving up the queue, visited in the day to try and get asthma medication in person but turned away by reception. It would seem an asthma attack is not life threatening
