I saw Dr. Singh this morning. He gives a strong impression of knowing his stuff. He is always cheerful. He was prepared to explain why he was doing what he was doing. He listened attentively to my description of my problem before speaking. He doesn't appear to prescribe drugs unless really necessary. He even showed me the date when his blood pressure monitor was last calibrated. On one occasion, last year, he pointed to a photograph of his grandson while taking my blood pressure to distract me from looking at the monitor. How many gps do that? He also explains why drug a is more suitable than drug b. He answered all my questions and although the way forward will not be a walk in the park for me he gave practical advice to minimise prescription drugs. I was very favourably impressed with him this morning and am very glad I signed up a yer ago.

  2. Review titled Unempathetic!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am someone who is neurodivergent and has mental health issues so finding an understanding doctor who listens is important. When I first joined everyone was lovely and they got me booked in really quickly. However, I had an appointment with the doctor and despite my history and other relevant documents showing I had been referred to an important service and just needed it transferred over to a team in my hometown, he completed overlooked what I was saying, tried to blame my history of struggle on my sexual orientation (despite that never really being an issue for me) and ignored making any referral to the service I so desperately needed, despite me sending the proof of the letter explaining that I need another referral in my area. He spoke over me and left me feeling overwhelmed and not having talked about what I need to. When I tried to book another appointment, I could only do it via phone call, which with my struggles is difficult for me. When I managed to get on the phone the receptionists put the phone down on me because I was stuttering and struggling to get my words out. This was all disheartening and I urgently needed help, so I ended up transferring doctors soon after joining. I just want to warn others with similar issues that this might not be the appropriate gp for them.

We are sorry to hear your dissatisfaction. We have looked into this and can see appointments were attempted to be made via email by yourself, this isn’t our process, and we gave alternative options to this in regard to your communication issues we had noted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
