  2. Review titled Just don't listen

I have had a horrible time with prescriptions. I had an old surgery on the NHS app and called up to get it removed as I had letters going to my old GP. The receptionist removed the wrong one and now I cant order prescriptions. Absolutely baffled as I asked the receptionist to confirm she had it right as they lack the ability to carry out the task at hand. Low and behold, two months later, the wrong surgery has been removed. Feels like an episode of beadles about or black mirror every time I deal with them.

Went for routine bloods and this showed issues with my sugar levels and cholesterol which i half expected nurse didn't mention anything else on the matter to my horror saw i was referred to haematology unit at Ormskirk ( saw this on my Patient access and nhs app ) This was for issues with my white blood cells advised i couldnt travel there so i was referred again to a nearer centre , so imagine my panic when i receive an email from a haemo-oncolgy unit for my appointment scared isnt the half of it . Cant even get online unless its 7am to try and book further bloods to see if my levels have come down a bit as advised in my occupational health referral this morning

  5. Review titled Refused to help at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Mark O’Toole - Posted on 28 February 2024

Having been involved in an accident abroad and requiring major surgery. Trying to make a follow up appointment with this GP is harder than finding a unicorn. I have a wound in my arm that needs 30 staples removing. Dressings that need to be changed every three days as infection could render my arm useless. But as usual this practise’s answer is we have no appointments. Next step is now to speak to a builder with two pairs of pliers to remove my 30 staples. Thanks to all at Towerhill medical centre your primary objective to provide the best patient care is truly none existent, infact I’d go as far to say it’s tax payers money for all rope

Dear Mr O'Toole The practice takes all feedback seriously and uses this to improve patient experience at the practice. I'm sorry to hear of your accident and the trouble of obtaining an appointment at the practice. From what you have described needing to have staples removed, this is not a service that is provided by primary care. The treatment room run by Mersey Care offers this service and patients can access this service by a self referral by calling to book an appointment. I have inserted the website of the treatment rooms for your information. https://www.merseycare.nhs.uk/our-services/knowsley/treatment-rooms If you would like to discuss this any further please do not hesitate to contact the practice. 8. Review titled A joke and getting worse..

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bundy - Posted on 23 March 2023

Don,t get sick and need an appointment here.... the maz medical site says call between 8 am & 5 pm for an appointment (good luck with that. They turn the phone off at 9 am) As a patient who needs regular medications and injections this is totally unacceptable. i miss medications far too often. They blamed the waiting problems on covid 19... now however they blame the government or anybody they can scapegoat..

  10. Review titled Poor is an understatement

Rated 1 star out of 5

Never able to get an appointment should I be unfortunate enough to need one. Told to call each day at 8.30am or alternatively queue outside the surgery at 8 each morning to see if you can get an appointment. What provisions are there for those of us who work and can't sit for an hour on the phone. I've just been waiting for 40 mins and got to number 2 in the queue and then someone picked the phone up and cut me off!!!
