Visited practice re making an appointment; told have to ring at 8.30 am on the day to see if an appointment is available - this is poor, should be able to book appointments in advance, same day should be for urgent treatment. Told receptionists that surgery website says that appointments can be made, advised that they can't make appointments but have to go via 111. Rang 111 when I got home, advised that GPs have a duty of care to patients and that they should be making appointments, 111 can only make out of hours appointments when surgeries are closed. Downhall park surgery is a part of the Rayleigh and District primary network the website says "To pre-book a Saturday appointment please contact your own surgery. " as do the web sites of sugeries that actually provide out of hours service. Downhall park surgery is gining out the wrong info. both verbally and on their web site.

Always late. At least half an hour each time. And also, I put in my sons prescription for his allergy formula milk best part of 4 days ago. I gave it 48 hours after putting it in, as they tell you to, and went to collect it just to be told the doctors hadn’t sent my prescription off. They told me to come back in the morning. So I did. Still no milk. He now has absolutely no formula as this practice didn’t send his prescription off not once but twice. Absolutely do not recommend at all.
