    I attended an appointment with a practice nurse for a routine women’s health check. My appointment was at a convenient time for me and was on toon the day. The nurse I saw was very professional, polite and efficient.

    Getting past the reception or once you get a response from E consult all is good. However it is ok for people who have the technology to hand to do on line. But not everyone does. I fear a whole group of people are getting sidelined simply because they have to speak to a person to book an appointment over the phone. We are supposed to be inclusive but I think the surgery still needs to address the communication for people without internet or ability to use E consult. Perhaps a dedicated line for this demographic. I had an appt with a really wonderful Dr who had read my notes (hurray) and listened. And it was the end of a very hot day and he was still jolly. Thank you. Then today doing a telephone follow up checking new medications. He truly listens. Thank you.

    Getting an appointment is stressful as thr system is fully booked within minutes and the online system closes in the morning. Its a pointless system if you cant make an appointment. Once you have an appointment the GP showed no empathy, could barely give eye contact and level of knowledge on a number of subjects was dismissive and poor

    Gp 45 mins late. Often late but not this late and gps always apologise which I always give grace as not their fault but gp didn't even apologise. He also didn't know this was a 30 min so tried to rush me.until husband pointed out it was a 30 min appt. He didn't know what a nasa lean test was so I happily explained and also explained cardio hadn't done this correctly to which he said I was wasn't there and that's your side of the story. That understandably upset me, abit of empathy would have been appreciated. I don't lie about anything and I felt that a slur on my character. My husband had to step in several times . He did start to be more appeasing but it felt scripted and insincere. If he genuinely felt that I apologise but it didn't feel like it. He wasn't able to help me with the hormones and told me to instead wait for gynae which is another 4 months ( I checked 16 weeks) and I'm having issues that are definitely effecting my heart issues so I wish we could have looked at some hrt for in the meantime. I'm tired of this kind of service where I see a different gp and them not always being the kindest. I saw a gp for my daughter recently who was lovely and I thought that was who I was seeing but it wasn't. I could say alot more and have fed back in past but got no response so I'm not going to waste my energy or my health.

    I have recently attended a routine smear test appointment with a nurse. After initial assessment, we proceeded to take the sample. I was asked if I would like a sheperone but I felt comfortable with a nurse that was going to take the sample so I declined. However, I really appreciated the offer especially if my nurse would be a male. She allowed me to undress in privacy and she was extremely gentle. She has explained what would happen next and explained what I would find in the letter when the results arrive. She also explained what she will do and talked me through the procedure. Post sample collection I was asked if I am ok and I was allowed privacy to dress myself. I am disabled and I really appreciated that I was allowed to get on and off the couch, dress and undress without being rushed. On top of that, she noticed that I have outstanding blood pressure review and outstanding bloods to be collected. She has offered if I would like to have this done on the same appointment. It was extremely kind for her to do this for me and seve me time to book additional 2 appointments for those to be done. She was very gentle while collecting bloods and very thorough with other examinations. Overall the room was spacious and clean and the nurse was extremely kind and gentle, very knowledgeable and very informative. She also wash her hand pre and post each examination. On top of that I had some questions in regards of my medication order, therefore I spoke with the receptionist prior to my appointment. She also has been very helpful and didn't make me feel rushed or feel like I bother her unnecessarily. She has found out information for me that I needed and supported me with accessing their website and troubleshooting the problem I had previouslywith access. I have had an extremely pleasant experience throughout.

    The GP was very prepared for my appointment and had already done research into my unusual symptoms. Made a plan and it was executed promptly and without causing me any stress or feeling of added embarrassment Very nice doctor that made me feel comfortable and confident

    I try not to contact the practice, as it is always a nightmare trying to get an appointment. But, on this occasion after not feeling well for months I needed to. I was on the phone waiting for someone to answer for over an hour. So very frustrating. I have very little faith in this surgery.

    The doctor needs to co centrale more on the appoitments. The doctor I saw was cosinus eyes , holding her head not really listening what I was saiyng. Then asked me many times to repaat want i have said. I felt aakwardby saing this all over again. She was not really keen to help and for me she looked tired and not bothered what brought me to see my GP. I feel this is unacceptable. She did very basic examination and I had similar examinations before , for my back issues, and she had no idea what she was checking. I would like to go to see my doctor and feel that they are really listening to what we are saying. I work in NHS and I feel that being compasionate about helping people is the key. The doctor I saw was a Asian doctor and had no emphaty whatsoever.
