Review titled Poor practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2024
I went for my diabetic check up, Firstly the nurse left me in a half lite room for approximately 10 minutes The room was so dirty, there were boxes on the table, bottles of water, a flask. Paper on the floor etc , it looked like they just dumped anything that didn’t have a home in that room. I felt so uncomfortable as I am not used to being treated in a dirty environment. They talk about keeping their staff safe, What about the patients, I wouldn’t even put a homeless person to sleep in that room.

The nurse who gave me my injection was amazing. I am petrified of needles however she made me feel at ease. And when the injection was done could could not believe it was over. Felt absolutely nothing. Thank you nurse so much.

Yesterday the 13th December 2023, I was at the Denmark Road surgery for a yearly review by the diabetic team and the service was very good. They were very professional, knew exactly what they were doing. They were very friendly, patient willing to answer my questions. They were not in a hurry to dismiss me and I left the surgery satisfied with the attention I received.

I was treated with respect by both the receptionest and my General Practioner. I was listened too. I was seen on time too. The toilet facility and the waiting area was clean and tidy.

Review titled Great Medical Practitioners
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joan - Posted on 13 November 2023
The Medical Practitioners at Denmark Rd GP are all very professional, polite and helpful. They are always willing to answer my questions and go that extra step! Sometimes it is difficult to get through on the telephone or get a same day appointment but I do understand the constraints the staff are working under. I sometimes find theTelephone Triaging frustrating as I do not visit my GP unless it is vital, as I tend to make use of my local pharmacies for minor ailments eg colds etc.

Dear Patient many thanks for your feedback. We are glad you four medical practitioners very professional, polite and helpful. We would continue to review our telephone system to ensure ease of getting through to us. As an alternative option patients can also send us medical / admin queries via our patient triage page on our website and a member of the team would be in touch as soon as possible. Your feedback would also be shared with the team.

I came for a flu jab, and was met by a friendly receptionist who showed me where to go to wait, the person doing the flu jab came out of there room with a smile and invited me into the room to have my injection, we chatted while l took off my shirt to expose my arm for them to do the injection, which took them seconds to do, and we continued chatting, as l left they wished me well and hoped to see me again in the future, since the injection l received no reaction or signs of bruising. A very enjoyable visit.

Review titled Awful Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 October 2023
I can't believe that this practice hasn't been closed down the staff are so rude lazy the Dr's don't have any bedside manner towards the patients. don't show any professional care to there staff and never follow up with anything that you ask them for. If there is a zero rate believe me they should have it such an awful practice needs to change Dr's and nurses and staff as they give the NHS a bad name

Dear Patient Many thanks for your review. We would be grateful if you could kindly send us an email at croccc.drs@nhs.net describing your experience, including the date when this occurred so we can investigate further. Alternatively should can click on this link https://www.denmarkroadsurgery.co.uk/complaints-procedure for information on our complaints procedure. We regularly review patients experience when assessing the wide range of services that we provide, one of the ways we do this is by sending out post-appointment survey questions to patients, the questions are a two- part question where we ask patients to describe their overall experience of our service and also to give an answer as to their response to the first question. We collate the responses received from the survey on a monthly basis and use the responses as a measure of determining in general how our services can improve as well as what we are doing well. For the month of September 2023 we received a total of 114 responses from patients who had attended for appointments either with a GP, Practice Nurse, Phlebotomist or our HCA within the month. 87 patients (76%) responded the service was very good, 22 patients (19%) responded the service was good, 1 patient responded with neither good nor poor and 4 (5%) patients responded the service was poor. All feedback received from the survey as well as online including the feedback from NHS reviews are shared with the team during our team meetings. We understand that while we aim to ensure that patients are always happy with the service, we sometimes may not get things right. We sincerely empathise and apologise that your experience was poor and would very much like to look further into this if you kindly contact us.
