  1. Review titled Rude receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

I phoned the surgery this morning when answered I said I would like to make an appointment to see a doctor. I was then asked what was wrong with me, when I explained she said “ well what do you want us to do about it? “ She then started to tell me to take pictures and send them by email. I am 77 live on my own and really not good with computers. So I’m left wondering what my next move is and can’t believe that the receptionist was so unhelpful.

  2. Review titled Terrible. So difficult to get an appointment with anyone.

I cannot do the 8am telephone scramble for an appointment due to work commitments. I used to be able to submit an e-consult at anytime during surgery hours (8am-6pm Monday to Friday). It seems that now they only accept a certain number of e-consult forms per day or for a small window of time which was missed again today. I work all week so the only time I can send an e-consult is lunch time or Friday afternoon but I have missed the open e-consult slots or time by then and on trying again today all the e consult 'slots' are full and they are not accepting anymore for today. Tried going into the surgery today (Friday afternoon) to make an appointment at the counter but they refused to make an appointment and said to call Monday morning or do an e-consult first thing Monday morning. Explained this was not possible because of work and can't spend hours on the phone or miss the boat for e-consult again, but they just don't care. Why can they not make an appointment whilst the patient is standing in the surgery? What if you can't access online or phone. This poor level of service will cost lives. The system for booking appointments needs a major overhaul, it should not be so hard. No wonder people end up in A&E.

  3. Review titled Lack of care

Rated 1 star out of 5

Referred by 111 to GP surgery for urgent blood test due to serious nature of illness and underlying issues. Spoke to a great nurse practitioner listened to me and organised a blood test same day. The issue was the GP who had not reviewed my results. I was so ill and did not need this total lack of cooperation. On calling the surgery on the second day I was told my a very rude receptionist tough results still not reviewed tough and wait till Tuesday. So I was still ill, had been diagnosed by 111 with severe noroviris, could not keep down any food and was going to have to continue to suffer over the weekend due to lack of care from one GP. Also I had other symptoms that had not been diagnosed. Took action on Saturday I asked my partner to drop in a letter to the surgery for the attention of practice manager asking to transfer GPs as I couldn’t take anymore of this especially as this had not been the first instance of an issue Sunday I received a text from the GP which was utterly rude and totally unprofessional. Blood tests inconclusive and basically no follow up wasn’t going to do any further tests to identify why I was in such pain and was I not aware that she worked70 hrs a week. Not my issue my immediate problem was my health and finding out why I was so ill. Also had to return to work on Monday after being off sick the previous week even though I couldn’t undertake day to day tasks as the same GP wouldn’t provide a sick certificate. Absolutely no support.

  4. Review titled No face to face

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called the GP surgery yesterday, to make an appointment to see a doctor. My call was answered after waiting one hour and 35 minutes. After all that time of waiting, I was still not given a face to face appointment, but only a telephone call back. I am left trying to describe the nature of my injury over the phone rather than being able to show it to a doctor. This is not good enough and is adding extra stress and anxiety to a situation, that by its very nature is distressing. Please bring back face to face doctor appointments.
