I had an appointment for my review at 11:22 on 14th June and checked in 5 minutes before the appointment time. Having sat and waited for 25 minutes after my appointment time I asked at reception how long it would be until I was seen only to be told that I was next! I was eventually called through 40 minutes late only to discover that I was being seen by a different practitioner to the one I should have. She was apparently helping because "my" practitioner was running very late! The care I received was good but why wasn't I informed, by reception of the change to my practitioner?

Hi Jean Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. I am sorry you were kept waiting for your appointment, this is something we always try our best to avoid. However, some patients have more complicated needs than others, sometimes emergencies happen that are not always obvious to people in the waiting room and sometimes our own clinical staff are off sick. At times like this, the staff will pull together as a team and do their very best to ensure all patients are seen and treated with minimal amount of disruption as possible. It’s possible that the reception staff were not aware that you had been moved to another practitioner, so would not have known to inform you. That all said, I fully understand and appreciate your upset at not being able to see the Practitioner you were expecting. Thankfully, this situation does not happen too often. Kind regards Joan

Glad to have been sent a reminder text. Saw nurse who did tests asked questions listened and gave advice. Very pleasant.

Whenever I see the nurses at the practice, they are always kind, courteous and helpful. They take the time to talk through what is happening and gentle with the blood tests even if I’m a difficult one to draw blood from! I’ve no complaints about wait times as I understand clinics can run behind but they’ve always been very professional when seen. 10/10 for the nurses

Efficient as always, only problem was that the self check in machine told me I was on ground floor and then they had to come and find me as it was first floor. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me.

Each and every time we have had a midwife appointment at College Green Medical Practice there has been extremely long wait times. On various occasions we have waited between 45 minutes to over an 1 hour beyond the scheduled appointment. Clearly a sign of poor organisation with little communication or notification that the practice is running behind schedule. Clearly sitting in a waiting room is not an ideal environment for a heavily pregnant woman. I only hope this feedback helps improve the service for other expectant mothers.

I like the practice because it is so close to me and the staff are great and when I have to make an appointment to see the doctor or for anything else they are very quick
