  1. Review titled Fine Practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I understand and appreciate the size of College Green practice and thought using technology ie for ordering perscritions on line would make thing's easier but after 84 hour's of ordering my meds ,Which hadn't been issued although i was told on the 11th June was with the pharmacist !!! So I phoned on the 12th and the receptionist I spook too sorted it out ,Brilliant work and Thanks to the lovely lady but I shouldn't have to keep ringing up ,Plus I feel like a pest and it actually makes my anxiety rise ,so not a happy bunny to put myself through added stress .But it's sorted now at last .Thank You linda ..

  2. Review titled Not how it was sold to us at all….

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Jess Michelsohn - Posted on 21 May 2025

This medical practice promised more doctors, appointments, and better care at its opening, but the experience has sharply declined. On my last visit, I was delayed by roadworks and called to inform the practice I was on my way. Arriving 7 minutes late for my 10:42 AM appointment, I was stuck in a slow check-in queue on ground floor. At exactly 10:52am I received a text claiming I had dna my appt and citing the cancellation policy. Despite being physically present in the building, the doctor refused to see me, citing other patients were on his list to be seen, even though I had taken time off work and was dealing with a visible, painful possible infection requiring urgent treatment. The receptionist kindly intervened, messaging the doctor, but he refused. Fortunately, a cancellation allowed another doctor to see me but the initial refusal was humiliating & harsh especially infront of the other patients waiting to be served. This rigid 10-minute rule is unfairly enforced. I’ve never been seen on time, often waiting on avg 20-25 minutes past my appointment time and more. The doctor’s refusal to treat a patient already in the practice, over a mere 10 minutes (even though I was in the queue before that time was up) shows a lack of compassion and prioritises protocol over patient care. If my infection had gone untreated, the consequences could have been serious. The practice’s overworked doctors, many of whom seem inexperienced or disengaged consistently lack empathy. Patients deserve better—flexibility, understanding, and actual care, not arbitrary rejections after weeks-long waits for appointments. The appointment booking system at this practice is deeply flawed. The v-consult form, touted as an “automated” solution, is cumbersome and unfit for purpose. Receptionists, with no medical training, are tasked with assessing urgency and scheduling, which is inappropriate. The new ish requirement to disclose the reason for an appointment is intrusive and ineffective—supposedly required to match patients with the most qualified doctor, yet appointments are consistently assigned to the same-day duty doctor, rendering the inquiry pointless. Worse, some receptionists overstep their position by offering medical advice or suggestions, which is unethical, dangerous, and reckless. This broken process fuels the flood of morning calls from patients desperate to be seen. The practice manager must overhaul the system, leveraging technology effectively and ensuring receptionists serve as administrative support, not untrained gatekeepers deciding who gets care. There are great Drs and staff at times but unfortunately it gets overlooked when a lot of neglected and negative issues keep happening. All the best doctors and doctors who came to join forces with other practices have left…. Why? There’s a whole new list of doctors that no one knows and it doesn’t feel safe anymore. Its a shame and needs sufficient attention to our feedback.

  3. Review titled Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 April 2025

Overall I have a great experience with the practice. But I really wanted to say thank you for the receptionist that called me 17.04.2025 in the evening regarding my medication. I was late requesting my repeated medication and I was sure that due to Easter I want be able to receive them in time. It was my fault. But kind lady went all out and about to help me and she managed to complete it, even though it was end of a day. I am sorry that I did not remember her name. But I really appreciate her work.

  4. Review titled Great GP consultation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kim Dyer - Posted on 10 March 2025

Have just had a second consultation with GP registrar at this surgery. Having been at the surgery for several years, Dr was not only extremely professional but also kind and supportive. Takes time to listen to patient concerns and ensures appropriate plan and follow up where needed is in place. He is a credit to the team

  5. Review titled Blood sample

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 February 2025

I had blood taken in February. I felt very butchered as the health professional said she couldn't get any blood to flow. The whole experience was awful and it was very painful I would expect this to happen with a trainee not a professional.

  6. Review titled Super Phlebotomist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Trevor - Posted on 04 December 2024

I attended the practice this morning for a blood test. The phlebotomist was really friendly and put me at ease. The “sharp scratch” was not even felt and the process was done extremely skilfully.

  8. Review titled Great help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Pauline Garner - Posted on 14 September 2024

My order of medication had been refused without notification to me. The receptionist sorted it for me, ordered the required medication and I picked it up today (next day). She also called me within an hour of me explaining the situation to her to update me on the situation. Very good, helpful service. However this would not have been necessary if someone had called me to question my order and not just declined the request leaving me with the possibility of not being able to put the required drops in my eyes, plus avoided me making an unnecessary journey to the pharmacy and one to the surgery.

  10. Review titled NHS Health Check

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 August 2024

I attended this evening for a free NHS health check. The health care practitioner was warm, welcoming, thorough and professional. She gave me time and listened attentively. She was calm and efficient when taking blood; I didn’t even feel a scratch. I left confident that I had been treated as an individual who had received the best of care.
