    I used to rate this GP surgery very highly however since the new system getting an appointment is impossible. I had to wait 6 weeks just to get an appointment which will make it 8 weeks but the time I see a GP and it's only because I resubmitted my original message saying things were worse otherwise I would still be waiting. My husband has been waiting 7 weeks due to hearing loss and pain in his ear which has worsened and he said its got worse but just had a message back saying, "You are currently on our appointment waiting list. We will be in touch to arrange your appointment within the timeframes that have been provided by the GP." 7 weeks is an unreasonable amount of time to just be told you are still on the list. Especially as he has previously had a cholesteotoma. We always used to be able to get an appointment no problem. It's very frustrating and worrying. What is going on here?! The GP's are lovely when you do get to see them, but the wait times are really not acceptable. Something needs to be done.

We introduced our new appointments system to try and combat the difficulty that patients were having contacting us at 8am on the phone, using a triage system to put patients in order of clinical need. If you can spare the time I would very much like to meet with you so that we can review the clinical notes for you and your husband and investigate further.     What a lovely lady the Diabetic nurse is she made everything so clear and always makes me feel at ease she explains everything in a way that is understood top marks

    On my visit today and whenever I visit this surgery the staff are always really friendly and put you at ease. The nurse I saw today was very welcoming and had a smile on her face.

    Receptionist was so helpful and was able to sort out my prescription with the medication team, GP and pharmacy within 10 minutes so I was able to get to my appointment. Nurse amazing as always!

    Visited the nurse for an annual review. Checked all the necessary things and took a blood sample. Never even felt the needle going in. Very good.

    Would be helpful if when asking in person to book a Non-urgent appointment if staff provided details of exactly how to do this rather than give a card that leads to a site with no immediately visible instructions on how to do this. I have a macular pucker causing visual difficulties and can't find how to book or seek advice. Very frustrating to be totally honest and very disheartening

    I had many blood tests done recently by a very efficient and confident nurse. I had to wait 3 weeks to have a lengthy appointment with a doctor who didn’t make much sense - until she said ‘you might have blood cancer’. And she would refer me. Obviously I told my family who were hugely worried. I waited and waited for a referral letter, fretting hugely. I rang the surgery about something different - back and hip pain. While I was on the phone I said I haven’t heard about a referral regarding blood cancer?! The very helpful patient service team assistant said there was no need for referral as all seems fine. I am exceedingly confused, relieved but this has caused us so much worry. If I hadn’t asked, would anyone have got in touch with me?! Been told I have to wait up to 6 weeks to see a doctor about my back and hip pain. I would appreciate some feedback and clarification, especially about the blood cancer issue.
