    I attended for a blood test, the nurse was very polite, helpful and just lovely. I was treated with kindness, my appointment was in time, and a very prompt service. I did mention at the reception as I left that the nurse was lovely.

    About 9 weeks ago I discovered an infection on my ankle. It was tender & red, so I sought advice from a pharmacist who prescribed ointment. When this had no effect I filled out a Klinik form, within 3 hours I had a request for photos which I sent - I had a phone call 3 hours later and was put on a 10 day course of antibiotics. These too, had no appreciable effect, so I filled in another form which resulted in another request for photos. These were duly sent & this time I was given a face-to-face appointment with a senior member of the team. This was a most pleasant experience, it was as if we were old friends. And when I mentioned another minor issue, acid reflux, asking if I should fill in a form about it, the response was "We can deal with that right now". And it was indeed dealt with very satisfactorily, even to the extent of the suggestion that I should think of my oesophagus like a gutter and raise the head of the bed a few inches with a piece of 4 by 2! Confirming that the problem is a venous ulcer, I was prescribed antibiotic cream, which the website says should show improvement after 2 or 3 days. It didn't so after 8 days, on Friday morning, I again submitted another Klinik form. I had a text from the same member of the team within 15 minutes saying they had sent another prescription to the pharmacy for oral antibiotics! The instructions were to contact 111 if it got worse over the weekend and "if no better by Monday pls contact us again" It seemed to be OK on Monday, but by Tuesday it had again caused me to require paracetamol to get back to sleep when I woke in the middle of the night. So I filled in yet another form. This resulted in a phone call from the surgery within a couple of hours asking me to attend that afternoon, which I did. I now have an appointment booked for the Dressings Clinic so they can see if there is an underlying problem that is deeper than the obvious surface infection. I cannot stress too highly how efficient and timely the whole process has been up to now, even though it hasn't yet resulted in the infection clearing up. But it is what we have come to expect from Carn to Coast in our dealings with them.

    Today I had a growth removed from my back by a Dr who took the time to listen, fully explain and painlessly remove and suture the wound. Very grateful for his good work .

    Excellent system of keeping one’s place in the queue when you ring in for help Extremely helpful and friendly women when they call you back who type out your problem I have always found when they have finished the problem is always solved by the end of that day The surgery seems to work efficiently using this system. As an older patient I feel I am looked after well Today I only had to wait for 4 minutes and a friendly lady listened to my need of getting my prescription early as I am going on holiday next week A few hours later I got a message from the chemist saying that the prescription had been signed and would soon be processed by Boots I felt most rrljey the Dr had signed my prescription today particularly as it is a Bank Holiday weekend. All thanks to the effort put in by the kind surgery lady on the telephone who had obviously realised my urgent need

    Having used the surgery today as a walk in patient, I have nothing but praise for the team who looked after me. The receptionist went above and beyond to help, the GP was very thorough and respected my views and wishes plus he kept me informed of everything that was happening. Everything was explained really well which helped me to make informed choices regarding my treatment. Thank you Carn to Coast for your care and concern 🙂 Just putting a nervous patient at ease is worth so much and is certainly part of the care and treatment required.

    I always have a great experience with the doctors and nursing staff at Carn to Coast, but want to highlight how wonderful the reception team are. I’m experiencing frustrating and upsetting delays to treatment, and whether on the phone or in person, I have had some incredible support and understanding. One member of staff took a call from me last week where I was distressed and upset, and they took the time to reassure me and make sure I was ok. When I popped in for a blood test this morning, the nurse was of course warm and friendly, and then another member of staff on the reception reassured me of the progress on the delays I’m experiencing and gave me both practical advice and emotional support. Working on reception in a GP surgery is a difficult job, but nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you to the whole team for keeping me positive and helping me through this.

    Dr. rang me today and had a very thorough conversation about my medication. Explained all very clearly. Really appreciate his time. As with all the staff I've dealt with at the surgery all have been wonderful.

    Empathetic judgement free comforting and reassuring support. I’ve been on a journey that involves chronic stress, burnout, anxiety and perimenopause. A mixture of different medications, adjustments to dosage and social prescribing has taken time but I have been supported to get to a place where I feel calm and brighter in my day to day life. I now have breathing space to address other areas of my life which need attention I was not capable of giving before. I wish I had asked for help sooner. The mental health practitioner was so understanding and gentle and he really worked with me to get the meds right, listening to my views and needs.
