    I was 39th in the queue this morning at 08.01 when the surgery opened and I got to see a Doctor at 11.20. I think in today's world that's not bad going. I've had a few issues of late and the surgery have looked after me and pushed to get appointments quicker than those give by the hospital. I find them in the main proactive, helpful and pleasant to deal with. There have been a couple of Docs who have bucked the trend and been difficult, but they seem to have gone. All in all it seems a much better practice in Carlisle than most that I hear about from family and friends. I would recommend.

  5. Review titled Rudely rushed appointment

    I attended today for 3 things, the first was handled within a matter of seconds where the Dr started to close the appointment. I apologised and said I have a few other things to discuss and they rudely said it’s only a 10 minute appointment. Why even fetch that up when within the first minute the first issue was resolved? Also the appointment started a few mins early. So what was the rush? I responded by saying we’re only 1 minute in. They responded by saying they just can’t go passed 10 mins. I have a severe mental health disorder which the Dr was aware of and things like this within government services 100% trigger me. I appreciate it would be fair of them to make aware that 10 mins is maximum, but it was their tone and attitude towards having a few other bits to sort out. Perhaps say, I’d gladly listen to all of your concerns and I will do my best to have them resolved within the 10 minute time slot. Not make me argue the fact it’s only 1 minute in!! No concerns from this Dr if I was giving my issues less severity first… what if there was a real urgent issue needing addressed? I do feel sorry for the elderly as I know if my nan seen this dr she’d get no further forward as wouldn’t defend herself and wouldn’t want to be a burden. Drs are supposed to have a real caring attitude but this one seemed like they just couldn’t be bothered. Seething is an understatement.

    I met with one particular doctor and it was the best experience I have ever had with a GP. He took the time to understand and learn my history, listened to all of my concerns and provided me with excellent information. He delved into family history and my personal circumstances to learn how he could best support and took action quickly and gave me advice. He helped me understand things that nobody had took the time to before and overall I left feeling really supported and informed.

  10. Review titled 11+ Days for Prescriptions

    Used NHS app to order repeat prescription (Blood pressure tablets). Was finally accepted 8 days later. Visited pharmacy on the 8th and 10th day (closed on Sundays so couldn't visit on 9th), prescription hadn't arrived. Called GP on 11th day to see what was going on as I had run out of medication a few days previous and blood pressure was rising. Told they thought they had printed the prescription but hadn't and now cannot find them so having to do them all again and she doesn't know when it'll be signed again so I'll just have to wait. Told her blood pressure is getting high. She said there is nothing she can do about it and I'd have to wait. Thankfully 111NHS we able to provide an emergency prescription. Appalling service from Warwick Road surgery. From what the female said, they lost them all, so lots of people going without medication today. I've just placed my prescription for next month and hopefully they will arrive within 3 weeks.
