    Second occasion I’ve been for bloods was booked at the other Kimberworth park practice and was took by a delightful young man. Definitely a credit to the practice and he was also very polite and made me feel at ease, bloods were also took pain free and happily squeezed me in due to something happening with my appointment. Great service from the practice

    I phoned for an appointment at 8:30am on Tuesday 14 Feb 2023. The phone system kept me informed of where I was in the Queue and after a few minutes a Receptionist courteously gave me an appointment for 11:20am that morning with a Nurse Practitioner to deal with my very sore and painful left foot. The Nurse Practitioner diagnosed my problem and gave me a Prescription which reduced the bulk of the pain in my foot within a few days.The Nurse Practitioner also arranged for me to immediately go upstairs to see the Nurse for Blood Tests to be carried out. I was then able to go straight to the Chemist next door to pick up my Prescription and start taking the medication straight away. A few days later the Nurse Practitioner phoned me to check on how I was doing and to discuss my Blood Tests with me, and to suggest I should book more Blood Tests for four weeks time. A big thank you to everyone at Broom Lane Medical Centre for excellent service when I really needed it.

    Today I have had to call the surgery twice first time about 4.15 second time 4.55. On both occasions the phone was constantly ringing the 1st time it took them 11 and a half minutes to answer the 2nd time I was 2nd in the queue to then ring to then have that stupid music playing then ringing for 10 minutes! This is surely not correct procedure its not just once but every time you flaming ring them!!

We are currently under significant demand pressures and our phone lines are always very busy. All our available staff members are answering the telephones constantly unfortunately sometimes the demand outweighs the staff members or the number of telephone lines.     Contacted weeks ago regarding an appointment with a nurse ( confirmed by text) date and time stating broom lane. Attended the agreed appointment to be told in no uncertain terms my appointment was at the walk-in centre in Rotherham this had never been mentioned! As I arrived home the nurse I should have met rang and confirmed no one had contacted me regarding where the appointment was to be. In a nut shell if you want to be treated like a farm animal this is the surgery for you.

    Sorry to hear that you are not happy with our service. Appointments made outside our normal working times 8.30 am - 6.30 pm will be provided by the GP federation in Rotherham, they run from different sites within the Rotherham area. Texts sent out for these appointments will state the practice that the patient is from "Broom Lane". We are in discussions with the text provider and they are looking at this. We apologise for the confusion in this matter.

    On 2 occasions this month I have had to contact the surgery for appointments for my husband. I rang at 08:30 and was placed in a queue. I didn’t wait long before my call was taken, and I briefly explained why he needed to be seen and appointments were made both times for the same day. I have been a patient since the late 1990’s along with my husband and children and have always found the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful, the Doctors are always thorough and knowledgeable. I would recommend this surgery to anyone without hesitation.

    The surgery opens 8:30am. I called the surgery 8:30am and was put in a queue of patients and after waiting about 15 minutes they told me they have no appointments left. How can 3 gp surgeries run out of all the appointments within first 10-15 minutes. Then in the afternoon I spoke to them again and they said a GP will call you. No GP called me and I received a call from reception saying unfortunately there's no possibility that a GP can call you. Ring back tomorrow morning for an appointment. I rang back this morning at 8:30am and after being in the phone queue for 15 mins the receptionist picked up the call and hung up. Then i tried to call again and it said there's no appointments left for today. This is ridiculous by all means. I do not recommend this surgery to anyone.

    tried to get thru at 5.45 only answering machine for both general and appointments . phoned a pharmacy told needed to see a gp to be examined .got thru at surgery was told was closing 6.15 so your not open till 6.30 need to change opening times misleading.ended up in ae .

    We are sorry that you were disappointed with our service. Our branch sites do close at 6.15 pm, our main Broom Lane branch is open until 6.30 pm.     I dont understand how I can phone as soon as my phone clock strikes 0830 and I get straight through to recorded message saying all appointments for the day are taken this has happened twice now. I dont know if I'm not using the system correctly.

    The doctors are great and most of the reception staff are very helpful. One in particular goes out of her way to rush you off of the phone and be at least helpful as possible. She is a real hinderance to the great service everyone else provides.

    I have had the need to speak to one of the lady doctors over the last few months. Really listened, and arranged tests and follow up. Very satisfied with the support given. Also during lock down again the same doctor saw me and referred me quickly to the hospital as an outpatient due to an issue. I have not needed to try and get a same day appointment so can not comment on this service. I am happy to book on line to get the doctor I feel confident talking too.
