  2. Review titled Fear and trepidation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

It was with fear and trepidation that I approached the surgery I arrived on time and was seen by the nurse who was about to commit the dastardly deed of removing blood from my arm fortunately it was a painless experience and I was given a wad of cotton wool to stop any unnecessary bleeding which was later taped to my arm which was rather fortuitous as I have a paranoid fear of my own blood The nurse assured me that everything was fine and requested that I should leave go home and lie down to get over the experience but all in all and joking apart as pleasant experience as was possible under the circumstances

  3. Review titled Calm reception area / kind staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

WellBNBenfield is an accessible surgery, I’ve only seen my mental health practitioner twice but she is very good. Empathetic, understanding, good listener. Finding her advice very helpful. I do need a copy of the CBT chart she showed me during our session yesterday, 2nd April 9.30am, thank you. Reception staff are very nice too. Calm & polite.

  4. Review titled Systems that work and staff that care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Amy Weinberger - Posted on 19 April 2024

Myself and my two young children have been cared for by WellBN for over 10 years. The same nurse who gave my son his first vaccinations 10 years ago, still does my smears and more recently my cancer-related injections. She is lovely. In fact I have three favourites that I actively look forward to seeing as they are so brilliant. Over the years we’ve had issues of varying complexity and I am more than happy with the response of WellBN. We are very appreciative and I certainly wouldn’t want to switch to any other surgery. Thank you WellBN

  5. Review titled Important problems that to be addressed urgently

Rated 1 star out of 5

My elderly parents are registered with WellBN Brunswick. My experience is frankly appalling. Although individual health carers that work for the practice are great, the overall management of this practice is dire. My father suffers from late stage Parkinson's and my mother is very frail with a heart failure conditions and complications with warfarin. They are housebound but to get someone to visit from the surgery is almost impossible. They are consistently told they need to visit the surgery despite their physical ill health. I have been chasing them for weeks for a flu jab for weeks, referral for a wheelchair or more recently when my Mum had a fall with swelling on her leg just a visit . That is just the start of my issues with the practice. I cannot in conscience recommend this surgery for your wellbeing. There are too many ongoing failings.

  6. Review titled Very caring and efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a sudden diabetes and high blood pressure diagnosis and the practice have been incredibly thorough with arranging appointments, blood tests, text message reminders and follow up calls. I've been genuinely impressed by the attention to detail and the text message reminders are so useful. I've probably had about 20 interactions with the practice in the past year relating to my diabetes and the numerous blood tests and many other tests relating to the diagnosis and the service has been incredibly efficient and the staff genuinely care.

I came to the surgery yesterday 18/1/24. Today I had an X-ray and by lunchtime I had a reply from the Surgery Doctor. Thank you so much for your prompt and explicit reply.

  8. Review titled Child-focussed Consultation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Took my five year-old granddaughter for consultation with Advanced Clinical Practitioner. Could not have been more impressed by the compassionate, personable and professional manner of the practitioner. She was unhurried (at least on the surface) - allowed ample opportunity for discussion. She was well-informed and reassuring. She was absolutely magnificent in her demeanour and understanding with a small child. She was an enormous credit to the Practice. Great consultation.

  9. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Sarah FitzGerald - Posted on 04 October 2023

I joined the Brunswick branch because it's around the corner from my home, I don't drive, and I have two small children. I have repeatedly been sent to the other branches for vaccinations for the kids. This means taking a chunk of time out of my day to schlep miles from my home on public transport with two kids, or my partner having to take time off work to drive us. When I've questioned this or asked for an appointment at the surgery where we are registered I have been dismissed or treated as unreasonable. Being told 'its only 20 minutes on the bus' is frankly condescending. I've also been lectured on the benefits of veganism by a GP while trying to get help for my baby's reflux The final straw today was receiving a text which booked my daughter in for her flu vaccine in another part of town without checking with me that the date was convenient. The service here is appalling, fortunately we will be moving soon and I will be looking for a new doctor operating from a single location.

  10. Review titled Well done the NHS

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Connolly - Posted on 18 August 2023

I really can't express the immense appreciation I have for the incredible care and support I have received from the NHS. Everyone from reception staff through to my consultants have been absolutely been spot on. I know there may be some who do not feel that they are getting a five star service, but considering the immense pressure that everyone is under at this time, I find it amazing that we still receive free service and support. Well done all at the NHS
