Review titled Good Service
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I must give positive feedback where it is due. I called today to speak to a doctor, as I am under the care of specialist consultants at the QE. The receptionist was polite and helpful and called me back to advise a doctor will be calling me back today. It is very easy to criticise the practise , however we must remember to give positive feedback when it is deserved.

Dctr I spoke to was really nice. But the receptionist I spoke to was rude. I did not like the way she spoke to me. She needs to learn manners when talking to people. She was indian.

Review titled I find it hard to get a face-to-face appointment.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2025
Over the past few years, I have faced significant challenges in securing face-to-face appointments at my local medical practice. It seems that every time I try, the available slots are quickly filled, leaving me frustrated and without the care I need. This is particularly concerning given my serious medical issues, which require a visual examination for accurate diagnosis and treatment. I firmly believe that discussing these issues over the phone simply isn't sufficient. As I reflect on the situation, it's baffling to me that phone consultations are still the norm, even three years after the onset of the COVID pandemic. When I do manage to speak with a doctor over the phone, the interaction often feels rushed. The limited time they have to listen to my concerns, diagnose the issue, and truly comprehend my health challenges make me feel like my problems are being minimized. Trying to explain complex visual symptoms over the phone adds another layer of difficulty; it's simply not an ideal medium for addressing my needs. What troubles me even more is the impression that the medical practice is now prioritizing quantity of appointments over the quality of care. As someone who has been a loyal patient at this surgery for over 40 years, it’s disheartening to see it described as "the worst GP surgery in the eyes of patients last year." If this trajectory continues, I can't help but worry about the implications for my health and well-being, as well as for others who find themselves in similar situations. The erosion of personal care in favor of rapid-fire consultations could have serious repercussions, and I feel increasingly anxious about what that means for my future health.

Dear Patient, I am sorry that when you contacted the surgery you could not be offered a face to face appointment. We are currently experiencing increased demand on our services and only have a limited number of appointments available. Unfortunately we are not able to offer above this limited demand as we must ensure patient safety. Please be assured our clinicians are working to their full capacity and new appointments are available daily. Kind regards Frankie Patient Experience Team
