Review titled Excellent service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ms SE Charles - Posted on 12 June 2025
Saw Dr who gave clear advice and information and I felt listened to. Was so helpful to see a doctor in person. Came away feeling that steps had been taken to deal with my concerns.

Review titled Online Service
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I contacted the practice by phone to be told that I should use the online service which I did only to find that it wasn't working. I contacted the practice again by phone who confirmed that it wasn't working. This was clearly known by reception at the time of the first call.

Very professional, attentive and helpful. I did request in my original online booking for a full check of my moles but wasn’t mentioned.

Took many days again to sort a simple prescription out. Hardly a cd drug. I had to do a e consort as the other site kept timing out (on line service) I tried x 7 times. Ended up calling the practice 2 hours after trying. Explained that I couldn’t work the NHS app or system on line service. Reception took details. Hydrocortisone cream which I have had many times before. Days later I was asked to send a photo of the rash (Friday late afternoon) Nearly 2 weeks later I received the cream !!!!

The phone queue was rather long but it had a ring back option which worked for my booking. My GP was his usual efficient & very friendly nature, he diagnosed my several problems giving me a way forward. Many Thanks

Review titled Bad place to go
Rated 1 star out of 5

I fill in the online form for the doctor as when I phone up first thing in the morning I was 20 in the queue and couldn’t get through. I then had an email asking a question about my condition which I replied to. They took a few days to get back to me saying I had a phone call appointment in over a week time, which I thought was a really long wait just for a phone call appointment. When I had my appointment the doctor was very rude and made me feel like I was wasting his time. But in the phone where I kept saying that I was worried about it, he asked me to come into the doctors. So I asked when will my appointment be, and he said can you get here in the next 5 mins which was really unreasonable as I was about 30 mins away at work. I then managed to get him to give me an appointment a bit later in the day. He was still really rude and seem liked I was wasting his time. He also kept repeating himself over and over again.

Review titled Good appointment
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had an appointment with the Practice Nurse to review my HbA1c blood test. My notes were looked at very thoroughly and the new medication was explained and I was given notes about it. I felt that I had been given time to ask questions which were answered. I left the surgery feeling much reassured

Had pain at the bottom of my spine. Rang 111 as I thought I may have fractured a bone because I have osteoporosis. After numerous phone calls from different departments, I was given an appointment to see a GP. I was thoroughly examined and no broken bones found, but unable to establish why I was in so much pain, told to take paracetamol and ibuprofen for two weeks. If still in pain to go back to my GP

Had the best experience with beacon medical. I filled in an online application as I was suffering with tonsillitis and within the hour I had a doctor call me and prescribe antibiotics. The lady who helped me was so kind and supportive
