  1. Review titled Better off going to A&E

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 February 2024

I called this morning just after 9am feeling unwell, I explained my symptoms and was advised a pharmacist from a pharmacy was going to call me for a telephone appointment. I received my telephone appointment at 11:15am and was told I was going to be prescribed antibiotics and that my GP practice should action this latest by tomorrow, however it shouldn't take as long as that. At 17:30 I checked if my prescription was at my local pharmacy, and I was advised it was not there. I then rang the GP practice who informed me that the pharmacist had not sent my prescription for my medication. I then rang the pharmacist who confirmed he had sent the request and was sending it again. I then rang my GP surgery where the receptionist put me on hold only to come back and say the request is with the clinical team. It is now 19:58 and my local chemist is closed. Moral of the story, go to A&E and don't rely on Bath Road Surgery to do their job. How they are allowed to take on more patients amazes me when they can't cope with the ones they already have. No one wants to be sick. Having to deal with the rudeness and sarcasm from the reception team just shows how unprofessional this practice is. Respectfully, there's a few that should be sacked because they're adding to Bath Road Surgery's bad reputation (just have a read of the reviews). We pay into the system to recieve care when its needed, but we are simply not getting it. No face to face appointments, only phone appointments where no one is communicating with one another. The GP, the pharmacist from god knows where and the local chemist where your medication is to be sent..ultimately it comes down to Bath Road Surgery. Couldn't give me an appointment, arranged one on behalf of myself from elsewhere and then can't action a prescription from 11:30am to 19:00pm. It can't be that hard, or can it??

I didn’t catch her name but the doctor who took my smear test today was calming, informative and made the experience be as comfortable as possible (even if it isn’t all the time!) Book your smear test ladies, it could save your life!

  4. Review titled Great expeeiebxe

I was being treated for a wound sustained from a fall. It took over three months of care by the HCA of dressing the wound regularly on a weekly basis. The HCA was through and extremely diligent, reassuring , patient and answered all questions clearly and completely. During the treatment, there were signs of complications. They immediately had me reviewed at the Orthopaedic department at West Middx Hospital hence avoiding further damage and issues. Overall very good experience and highly recommended. Caring, diligent and thorough while being understanding, reassuring and empathetic

  5. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 October 2023

Got sent a link to book appointment which I did attended on the day, sat there 45 minutes after appointment time and they spoke to receptionist, they told me my appointment for a smear test was with the administration team, advised them that this was incorrect and not possible, she then had to arrange a new appointment for me which meant I was at the surgery for a test that makes me nervous and anxious for over 2 hours. Now trying to get a prescription which I need as soon as possible and told that I can’t speak to someone for over a week, have put a request on answered all questions got told I had to do it again. The service is going down hill, having to give more information that’s should be necessary for an appointment, unable to get important medication when it’s needed.

  6. Review titled Amazing practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was previously with first care practice in Hounslow and was treated very badly, I’ve since moved to bath road clinic and have had all my need met as a patient there. My mental health has improved with their help, they check up on me as I’m high risk suicide. Helping me with my eating disorder. I feel very content going there and speaking with the clinicians and Drs! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Bath road clinic they have helped me massively.

  8. Review titled Bad experience with sample testing personnel

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Lucy Silveira - Posted on 18 April 2023

It is carelessness and disrefard for patients that give NHS a bad name. I gave a urine sample on 29th March 2023 and after more than two weeks I was told sample was lost, again on 17th April 2023 I came in to give a second urine sample as now there is blood in my urine, again testing staff lost my urine sample with my name and details on the container. I am wondering will i be tested and treated after I am dead. Today 18th April 2023 again I have come to the clinic to give a sample as there is still blood in the urine. I am appalled by such callousness and carelessness.

Dear Lucy We are so sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with the practice, providing excellent patient care is at the forefront of everything we do at the practice and we are sorry if this has not been the case with your recent care. We understand this should not have happened and we would like to investigate the matter further. Please email me at bathroadsurgery@nhs.net with your full details so we can explore this incident further. Kind regards Raka Mayor Practice Manager

  9. Review titled Awful surgery - read the online articles written about it

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 May 2023

Outright refusal to see you face to face. According to NHS statistics, they have the lowest rate of face-to-face appointments in the country (Search for it - Daily Mail wrote an article in January 2023 and plenty of press). The online system does not allow you to book appointments - not sure why the Surgery responses below say it does (the surgery themselves say that this service is "switched off" to patients). If you need to attend the surgery, be prepared to wait. It's understaffed, has too many patients on their books and put profits before patients. Find another surgery - your health depends on it.

  10. Review titled Unacceptable standards of care - ongoing over the past year

Rated 1 star out of 5

by RLD - Posted on 01 December 2022

Multiple occasions of poor service provision 1. Refusal for face-to-face appointments; has led to my family going to A&E on at least three separate occasions which was avoidable. Also seeking out private dermatology as GP refused face-to-face meeting. 2. Huge window of time to be called in and then no call being made 3. On one occasion we were informed, there are no doctors on site after 3pm so go to A&E 4. Being blinded prescribed antibiotic after antibiotic because GP refuses face to face meet to actually have a look at the site of infection
