    Pressures on all GPs are high. So yes getting an appointment was a little difficult and I was seen an hour late on arrival to my appointment. However when booking the appointment, receptionist was polite and apologetic. When I saw the doctor, again, polite and apologetic, and provided a thorough review and I was rapidly referred. Would reccomend as the care I recieved was great, and I believe all surgeries are experiencing high workload.

    Dear Zoe Thank you very much for your feedback. Sorry for the delay in the waiting room but thank you for understanding. Patients do sometimes require more than the standard 10 minute appointment time and we try to provide this where possible (sadly this causes delays for others). I am pleased that you were treated politely and with care. This feedback will be shared with the team and I am sure will be much appreciated.     I telephoned to try to get appointment, or for them to ask doctor to put a prescription through for me, have symptoms of UTI and feeling very poorly, told can’t put prescription through without see GP which is nire impossible and to ring 8.30 in the morning or go to hospital, UTI can quickly become serous and I think speaking to a receptionist isnot solving anything, I offered to bring a sample in but wouldn’t have it . As I felt I was getting worse I took myself of to urgent care and given antibiotics , I really don’t understand what’s going on off loading everything to hospital

    I recently had cause to need a routine review of some symptoms I'd had for a while. I was offered an appointment with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner the same morning who wanted to do an ECG. This was done the same afternoon by a Health Care Assistant. The ANP reviewed the ECG straight away and as it showed an unusual rhythm stated she would write to the cardiologists for advice. I received a phonecall at teatime from her stating she'd spoken to a GP about the ECG and I was advised to go to A&E where I was then admitted by the cardiologists for further investigations which are ongoing. I am extremely grateful to have been seen so quickly and referred on so promptly and efficiently. The NHS is under an immense amount of pressure but its staff are hardworking and dedicated which should be commended. Well done Barnbygate!!

    I called on a very busy Thursday morning, the receptionist was apologetic & polite when I eventually got through. She listened to my problem about pain in my knee & decided that an appointment with the physio would be more effective & quicker for me than me seeing a GP much later in the day and then likely getting referred to the physio anyway. The appointment led to pain relief, leg brace & exercises for a bit further down the line plus a follow up appointment this week I just wanted to message as I’m sure you get lots of complaints but although fortunately I don’t need your services often when I do the reception staff are very good, sympathetic, have an awareness of what might work best and do what they can to ensure it’s the most effective resolution. Well done to your staff!
