Review titled Caring Practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Christopher Green - Posted on 10 April 2025
Following a period of Polymyalgia treated with Prednisolone I recently had pain in my neck and shoulder. Contacting the Practice they referred me to MSK Physiotherapy and it was decided that I should revert to Prednisolone on a temporary basis. Having discussed the problem with the surgery they reverted to me within 2/3 hours to recommend a course of medication. I can only thank them for reacting so quickly.

Received a call explaining that my appointment had been cancelled due to illness. This was dealt with in a sympathetic and friendly way and a new appointment made as soon as possible.

Review titled Muscular skeletal
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gary Priestley - Posted on 23 April 2025
It was lovely to be greeted by the Caribbean lady who has a great sense of humour. I was early but at the wrong surgery. She was kind enough to pass on the message that I will be late as I was riding my bike. The next lady at Wedmore reception was just as lovely, professional and thoughtful who's follow up call was a joy to receive, very professional. My time with the muscular skeletal lady was another fantastic, wonderous, informative and pleasurable experience. All the ladies I met yesterday were a joy to speak to. I came away feeling good from an anxious visit. The 2 practices are a great credit to the NHS. Always informative, caring, helpful and thoughtful. I've never felt talked down to which has happened in the previous practice which was several decades ago. I'm always conscious that I'm wasting people's time but I always come away with different thoughts. My wife and i had bad experiences with a senior lady doctor who retired several years ago. Her diagnosis of my son having "wheezies" still scares me. I learnt a lot about asthma after! I still vividly remember my visit with the Doctor who kindly rushed into surgery out of hours and showed my son's heartbeat at 160bpm wasn't nice as he was struggling to breathe. Another person who gives his heartfelt time that we have much to thank for and; I greatly look forward to talking with is the dapper dressed man. We owe him a lot with the help and advice he gave to us and our eldest son who is now a different person. We also love the way he dresses. 😁 Keep up the fantastic service you give and I'm looking forward to my next visit even though I know what's coming.

Great service yesterday for my blood tests. I was able to book this appointment quite easily at Wedmore and was sent useful reminders. I have booked a follow up telephone appointment with a GP but it took four phone calls and one visit to the surgery before I was able to get an appointment as the receptionist had nothing on their system that they could offer me.The GP's are always really good when you do get to speak to one and I know they are incredibly busy, but it does always seem to be a struggle to get an appointment.

Review titled Convenient and professional
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mark Plummer - Posted on 28 March 2025
I recently had bloods taken at Wedmore medical practice and found the whole process smooth and seamless from booking the appointment through to giving the blood sample. For all other medical appointments I find Axbridge very helpful and I can get an appointment which is convenient to me most times. Thanks.

Visit for blood test sample. Person was friendly. Had to try both arms to get sample. Person apologised. Was completed relatively quickly and applied a small dressing over both points.

Review titled On the Ball
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Laraine Bridges - Posted on 11 April 2025
From the moment I called the practice, the service was excellent, the receptionist who realised I needed an emergency appointment, to the doctor who immediately sent me to hospital. I hadn’t realised my condition was serious but thankfully they did. There have been several occasions recently with the rest of my family needing help and the everyone one in the practice is totally on the ball when we have struggled.
