After approaching the reception staff for help requesting an acute medication prescription I was told to go online and do it. What a farce! At every opportunity on the website I was directed toward online repeat prescription requests through patient access…it is not a repeat…it’s acute! So off I went again to the practice only to be told again”you can make a request on our website”great, So I’ve been told! The website is sooooo convoluted it is almost impossible to find. After nearly 45 minutes I eventually found what I was looking for…yippee! I only found the form by pressing I am not registered for online services…what?!? Clearer help and advice would make the world of difference. I was so frustrated I almost gave up and was on the verge of tears.

Dear Patient , Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you have experienced trouble in obtaining your repeat prescription. If you would like to contact the surgery referring to this post then we can send you the link directly to your phone for you to access the website repeat prescription request page. Please note if you click 'not registered for online' it takes you to a page where you have to manually type in your items, where as if you are registered ( i.e for the Patient Access) then it pre populates the items of your prescription for you. Alternatively you can register for the NHS App to request prescriptions. We also receive paper requests at the front desk at both of our surgeries. You can post the paper requests in the secure letter box at both sites during closed times. Kind Regards AW Surgeries

Phone booking system is a joke - can be waiting over an hour - to get to talk to someone - No option to send a simple e.mail - and you cant send a prescription request on line unless its in office hours - unbelievable - No one ever gets back to you to say that yoru prescription has been done - so again unless you ring up and wait to get through the only other way is to go to the Pharmacy and hope its ready and thats its all there - which again isnt always the case Must do better - really no excuse for such poor service Thanks

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you are not happy with the appointment system. We introduced a triage system where by all enquiries received are triaged by the on call GP to ascertain both the timescale and the type of care professional that our patient(s) need to seen by. Patients are able to contact the practice via our website. We close the site during out of hours and direct traffic to alternative provisions for patient safety. If you wish to request a repeat prescription during closed times then you can post a paper request into the secure letter box on either site. I will feed back to the team about not being notified that your prescription has been actioned and look to see what we can do to improve this. First time needing a doctor in over 4 years had to fill in an online form just to try and get an appointment after waiting 2 hrs without a response I spent 30 minutes queuing on the phone to be told a doctor had my form and I needed to wait to be contacted, it's now been 5 hours with no contact, is this really the future of doctors appointments. Awful do they just hope you will go burden the already stretched A&E just to get seen?

Very good treatment given as usual. Appointment made, didn’t have much of a wait either. Had done what I needed doing, didn’t take very long. Member of Staff very polite, happy, gave me the information I wanted to know. I’ve never had any problems with Aw Surgeries. Am a happy patient.

Having online contact form to complete allows for access to surgery without waiting in long telephone queues. Response time was less than an hour and was seen within 4 hours. Excellent response well done! Want to say it’s nice to offer a compliment for good service.

Doctors at aw surgery are caring have lots off time for you they do a brilliant job they do the best for me to see my preference off a doctor been with them for 21 years wouldn't change them they should be very proud off the job they do

Trying to book a GP appointment or repeat prescription is a total joke. Hrs trying to get the online platform to work ( sign in) end up having to call them every time . Frustrating and a waste of time .
