We contacted the surgery at 8am to ask for a same day appointment and we were contacted within 20 minutes, and offered an appointment within 60 minutes of our initial call. The GP was thorough and felt that our daughter needed a review by paediatrics. I understand there was some push back from the paediatric team, but the GP insisted that our daughter was seen. We are grateful that the GP remained steadfast, and appreciate her thoroughness. Our 17 year recently needed to access a same day appointment, which she did on her own and she had a similar experience of being called back promptly, seen at our local branch by a GP, which was fantastic as she had no transport, and she was given really clear advice and guidance around her concerns. We're very grateful to the practice for the very best care that is given to our children. We have a real sense of safety, knowing that concerns are taken seriously, the children are seen promptly when needed, further assessment is requested when necessary and we're all treated with kindness and compassion. We hugely appreciate the 'family practice' ethos if the surgery and we feel our GP knows us as individuals as well as a family unit. Thankyou!

I have multiple medications - when away on holiday, unfortunately we forgot to pack one. I contacted Ash Trees and explained the situation, they organised an urgent prescription to be sent to a pharmacy close to where we were staying and I picked it up in the same day. No stress, or worry, the people I dealt with were extremely helpful and solved my problem, so I could continue to enjoy my holiday. I'm very grateful, thank you.

After having been recommended to have hearing tested when having earwax removed I rang Arnside surgery, referral was swift, initial appointment at WGH followed swiftly and within month from 1st call I have my hearing aids. Can't ask for better service.

Felt listened to and cared for in a friendly, yet professional manner. Whilst you often have to wait too long for appointments I don't feel the practice staff are at fault as this is a nationwide problem caused by government short sightedness and under resourcing.

I needed help with mouth sores and was able to send a photo of them - procedure was easy. Contacted by phone within a couple of hours- prescription waiting for me at Pharmacy. Appointment in 4 weeks to have it checked.

First surprise - my appointment was on a Saturday at 9:35 at a clinic I didn’t know existed for minor ops. Easy to find, easy to park, cheery receptionist even on a Saturday. When I decided to take my blood pressure the Receptionist came round to show me how to do it, explaining the machine hadn’t been used since the disinfection routines required during Covid. The practice doctor appeared with a smile exactly on time and was friendly and open to chat about anything. My two ops were done quickly and I was so surprised with the efficiency of my experience that the doctor explained it was getting to see a GP initially that was difficult but once you were in the system help was freely available. He explained everything I asked about in a knowledgeable, friendly and professional way and I was in and out of the clinic in 12 minutes. The doctor agreed to send me a further appointment to have another minor op without having to go back to my GP. I agreed to leave a review as it was the experience one expects from our NHS. We are so lucky to have such places.

I had two non-malignant moles removed. Almost painless, far more convenient than a hospital appointment and the site is healing well. Thanks!
