    I moved into the Area and have not been able to find a NHS dentist . So I’m now a private patient at Genix , I required a new top denture . I’m very disappointed, I had to go back 3 times to have it trimmed as it was cutting into my cheek , it drops down so I need to use a fixative to keep it in place , never needed to do that before . I have had a 4 top plates over the years , all NHS made and I’ve paid a lot of money for this one and it’s no where near as good as the ones I’ve had before . I can’t afford to go to another dentist and have another one made so I’ll just have to put up with it but as I’m now classed as a private patient I expected a better service and a 5* service and it’s not .

    I was looking to have implants in my top jaw. After a 2 minute examination the dentist began asking about my financial situation. "Could I pay up to £9,000 for the work ?" How much do you have in savings? It could cost more if bone grafts are needed. All this was done in front of trainees. No alternative treatment was discussed. I found the whole experience very insulting....and belittling.

    Tried to phone yesterday to arrange an emergency appointment (I am a registered patient with them). 50 mins before an answer then told to ring the following morning for an emergency. Following morning, 1hr20 before answering and then told only one dentist in and no appointments available !!! Offered an appointment sometime in September - it’s quite clear that this practice is not fit for purpose and does not have the required staff to run it in a proper manner.

    Receptionists were efficient and very friendly. Dentist was very good. Made sure I felt comfortable with the procedures and also checked I was ok after my check up.

    Went here for private cleaning this year which the hygienist was great and friendly. However, the reception aren’t so polite when saying hello or bye. They claim to take adults on but many emailed/called and was not replied to or not got place then only seems to be children they take on. Luckily I managed to get in with a nearby NHS dentist when they was taking on people. Would say it’s a total difference experience.

    14th June arrived at circa 11.55 for my 12pm appointment. Advised there is a delay as dentist is running behind and I'm fine with that. At 1.15pm I still had not been seen. So I checked with reception who advised me that the receptionist on duty when I arrived had not checked me in. This practice are a joke when it comes to being polite and professional and even proactive when you have a problem. I wouldn't recommend this practice. Time to start looking for another practice and recommend you avoid the practice. Now I have a booking for 13.45!!

    I had a check up and my dentist is absolutely brilliant, Ive been to this practice for a number of years and have no complaints. I also made a further appointment to see the hygenist who did a great job and my teeth looked so much whiter when the treatment was finished. The team here are really helpful and friendly, you are made to feel welcome. I used to have a bit of a dentist phobia but I dont worry any more which is great.

    On this occasion I contacted the dentist because I had toothache. I was seen promptly, and was told that I had a badly decayed tooth which would have to be extracted, and I had this done. My only criticism is that it was a very painful procedure, and although I was given local anaesthetic, I am wondering if I could have been given more?
