Receptionist phone manner is very poor apart from one Receptionist who will go out of her way to help you and is known to do this ...the rest need training in the " please and good morning " department " after all its sick people ther dealing with and this kind of job needs people with a nice heart not a cold one....

  2. Review titled Worst reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

Constant problems with reception both in person and on the phone which only takes a few hours to get to speak to one of the ignorant unhelpful people that get paid for arriving there each day but not actually doing their job. Customer service at it's worst.

  4. Review titled Excellent service from GP

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had to phone 87 times before I was able to book an appointment for a GP consultation. When I eventually got through I was told there were no appointments left and to try phoning the next day. Alternatively I should queue up at the surgery at 8am to book an appointment, then go back home and wait for the GP to phone me. I am disabled and elderly and was too unwell to do that. I managed to get through on 2nd Dec and the GP promptly phoned me a couple of hours later, discussed my symptoms, and made an appointment to see me that afternoon. The GP was excellent. He was very attentive to everything I said, discussed everything with me in a genuine patient-cantered manner and treated me with the utmost respect and dignity when he examined me. He referred me to a consultant, but when I tried to book this appointment online using the e-referral booking form, I discovered he had not given me the choice of several hospitals that all patients are supposed to be offered. I was very satisfied however that he immediately rectified this oversight when I asked him to. I have raised concerns that on 29th December a receptionist gave me the wrong results of a urine test. She told me that I would probably need antibiotics as the test results showed that I had an infection. Next day the GP told me she was completely wrong. I emphasised that while I was not submitting a formal complaint, it is potentially very dangerous for a receptionist to interpret a patient’s test results. I trust all receptionists have been told they must not do this. My sincere thanks to the GP who I have found to always give an excellent service inspite of the heavy workload experienced by all GPs.
