    Excellent system of keeping one’s place in the queue when you ring in for help Extremely helpful and friendly women when they call you back who type out your problem I have always found when they have finished the problem is always solved by the end of that day The surgery seems to work efficiently using this system. As an older patient I feel I am looked after well Today I only had to wait for 4 minutes and a friendly lady listened to my need of getting my prescription early as I am going on holiday next week A few hours later I got a message from the chemist saying that the prescription had been signed and would soon be processed by Boots I felt most rrljey the Dr had signed my prescription today particularly as it is a Bank Holiday weekend. All thanks to the effort put in by the kind surgery lady on the telephone who had obviously realised my urgent need

    I always have a great experience with the doctors and nursing staff at Carn to Coast, but want to highlight how wonderful the reception team are. I’m experiencing frustrating and upsetting delays to treatment, and whether on the phone or in person, I have had some incredible support and understanding. One member of staff took a call from me last week where I was distressed and upset, and they took the time to reassure me and make sure I was ok. When I popped in for a blood test this morning, the nurse was of course warm and friendly, and then another member of staff on the reception reassured me of the progress on the delays I’m experiencing and gave me both practical advice and emotional support. Working on reception in a GP surgery is a difficult job, but nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you to the whole team for keeping me positive and helping me through this.

    Dr. rang me today and had a very thorough conversation about my medication. Explained all very clearly. Really appreciate his time. As with all the staff I've dealt with at the surgery all have been wonderful.

    The kindness , Support, and help I recieved from your receptionist was second to none, fantastic; helpful with my requests and filling out the necessary forms, service with a smile so rare these days

    A big thank you to the Carn to coast team. I found my experience with the practice great. The Doctors listened well, gave me time to explain my symptoms and gave me a treatment plan going forward.

    Empathetic judgement free comforting and reassuring support. I’ve been on a journey that involves chronic stress, burnout, anxiety and perimenopause. A mixture of different medications, adjustments to dosage and social prescribing has taken time but I have been supported to get to a place where I feel calm and brighter in my day to day life. I now have breathing space to address other areas of my life which need attention I was not capable of giving before. I wish I had asked for help sooner. The mental health practitioner was so understanding and gentle and he really worked with me to get the meds right, listening to my views and needs.

    I saw a very thorough professional Doctor on Friday 21st March who put me at my ease. His experience and manner was 100% thank you. The admin staff and reception staff are kind and compassionate and do a very good job supporting the clinicians and patients. Ten out of 10 for Carn to Coast

    As always, the care and service received from Carn to Coast has been exemplary, in what must be very stressful times for the staff. Today I had to phone Carn to Coast with medication requests and problems involved with moving address. Everyone took the time to understand my queries and to deal with them in a knowledgeable and effectual way, whilst always being caring and friendly. What could have been a problematic situation was instead dealt with in a smooth and effective way and without fuss. Thank you to all staff at Carn to Coast. You are doing a fantastic job.

    I have been with this practice in its various forms since 1970. We as a family received great care and got to know the staff, including the doctors. Now I believe I know two and very rarely see them even when necessary. To ask for a home visit because I am unable to breath, therefore, not able to walk very far is not acceptable to the practice. It has become very remote and not nice. I am very sad to have to write this. Today was an exception. A lovely lady was very friendly and helpful. I am not against change. That said covid is now long past and the surgeries are still on what feels like lockdown. :(

    Dear patient, Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you find GP surgeries are more remote than they used to be. Unfortunately the growth in numbers of people coming to us with health problems, and the frequency with which they do so, has increased greatly since the times before ‘lockdown’, whole the numbers of clinicians (doctors, nurses etc.) we are funded to employ has not kept up. As a Practice we are in the forefront of campaigning for changes to funding which would address the needs of areas such as that served by our GP’s and allow greater continuity of care; but, in the meantime, our emphasis has to be on using the limited numbers of clinicians available to us in a way which keeps people safe. This means difficult choices and we cannot always offer the services people might reasonably hope to receive. We fully agree that this is not a nice position to be in and, if you would care to contact me via carntocoast.c2c.pals@nhs.net , I would be happy to discuss the issues with you. We are glad that you found the lady you spoke to friendly and helpful. Despite the difficulties we face as a Practice in an area with high deprivation, we receive a great deal of positive feedback on the efforts of our staff to provide the best service they can in difficult times.
