I completed an e consult this afternoon and within a couple of hours was called back by a very polite and friendly doctor who told me I could come in straight away. I saw him within 15 minutes, he examined me, gave me clear and reassuring diagnosis and advice and managing symptoms and things to watch out for. With all the news about how underfunded and overstretched the Nhs is right now I felt so lucky to be seen within the same day of requesting an appointment The reception staff are very helpful and friendly and I have seen approximately three doctors there all of whom I have found helpful, attentive and kind

I have had two very detailed and long phone sessions with two different pharmacists who were knowledgeable, interested and able to give me the time to answer all my questions.Brilliant service

Having registered here in June of 2023, shortly after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, my experience has been amazing. The reception/admin team are so efficient, always helpful. I use the e-consult to contact them and get a reply almost immediately. This is the best surgery I’ve ever been registered at.

Staff and doctors have given me thorough, excellent care after my surgery. They have been able to explain the issues carefully and reassure me which I am very grateful for.

I have been with Elizabeth Avenue GP since I was born and they have been so supportive to me. My daughter has also been there since birth and she is so comfortable at the surgery witch is perfect as she has autism so if she was not comfortable this could cause more problems. Honestly wouldn’t go to any other GP Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and the reception team for being so helpful.

From reception, nurses, and doctors all fulfill their roles with compassion and efficiency and instill a trusting relationship between patients and practice

I cannot speak highly enough of the Elizabeth Avenue Practice. When contacted on e-consult, one of the four doctors rings within a day and gives time and thought to a problem. They are good listeners and do all in their power to get speedy hospital appointments. They are always polite and patient. The same goes for the nurse. I consider myself and my family very lucky to have been with them for 45 years.

I’ve been a patient here for 20+ years. In the past month I have seen both a Dr and also the experienced Practice Nurse who I’ve been seeing for many years who is fantastic. As always I find all of the the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional. Despite the turbulent Covid times in recent years, Elizabeth Avenue has managed to maintain the feel of a caring family surgery and I’m grateful to be registered here. I was able to book both of these appointments in a timely fashion, the first with the GP as an emergency and then the review with the Nurse for today.

They only give you advice on phone and never book an appointment. They don’t help you and they ask you to complete the online form. After the website redirects me to call them, they said: “at least you gave it a go”. You can sense the mocking in their voice. The doctor did not help either and told me to just take paracetamol while my condition worsened and I had chest pain.

Thank you for your comments. I'm glad to hear your medical problem was assessed by a GP and found not to be urgent. Many conditions like yours can be easily dealt with by a pharmacist and I would advise you to see one as a first stop if this should happen again.
