    Very helpful pharmacist who always rings when arranged and is genuinely caring. She has gone through all my medication and does what ever she can to help. I have only spoken to the pharmacist, I wouldn’t even bother trying to get a doctors appointment unless I thought it was something very serious .

Since Covid our workforce has increased dramatically with many varied clinical staff recruited to offer the specialist service that patients need, we are grateful that you recognise that a GP appointment is not always the service required and we do our best to ensure patients are book with the service they require.     I could not order my repeat prescription via the NHS App in spite of insistent reminders from Pharmacy2U. First the Doctor’s receptionist listened patiently to my concern. Laughed along with me and directed me to the in-house pharmacy. Second Pharmacy staff listened to my explanation, explained concisely and clearly why the issue had occurred and without prompting, what they personally would do to remedy the situation. This was on a Thursday afternoon. My repeat prescription was reviewed and reinstated within hours and the drugs delivered via Pharmacy2U on Saturday morning. Both the staff members at the Practice behaved professionally but with well judged humour. I enjoyed an experience I had been dreading. The difficulties I might have imagined dissolved completely in the face of a determined “can-do-will-do” attitude from two members of staff who I imagine work under extraordinary pressure for most of their working day. I cannot praise them highly enough.

    The service I received today from the asthma nurse was thorough, helpful and thoughtful. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful. Thank you!

    I am completely satisfied with the Dispensary service and staff, all faultless! I was also very impressed with the telephone medication review, discussion and follow up phone call I received from a Clinician. First class. Contacting a GP less impressed.

    Delighted that they called on time and fully took me through each of my meds checking that everything was OK and offered easy to understand advice and a way forward. Explained what each one did and what i needed to do next Fully understood my questions and answered them in a very professional but easy digested manner

    still only booking same day gp appointments, with no option to book ahead. Appointments get booked up within the first half hour of opening. This applies to the patches system also, saying they have reached full capacity for the day, with again, no options for future booking

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your comments however I am unsure where you obtained this information as it is incorrect. We have 150-200 PATCHs request every day and we book up to 2 weeks in advance. Reception can book pre planned reviews with our nursing team up to a month in advance.     So hard to get a continuous prescription. You can now order via patches which seems great until you get the prescription refused as you need a review. I messaged again and was told to email. However by the time this all happens the monthly prescription has long run out and 2 weeks later I am still trying to get blood pressure meds. After 20 mins holding yesterday I was told that this was with the chemist - however actually it hasn't been signed yet so I need to return later - seems a very inefficient process.

    Dear Miss Shelley, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately you have been misinformed, PATCHS is not for medication requests, it is for appointment and administration requests only. This is why you were advised to email dispensary. Following your email to dispensary your prescription was processed in the 5 working day turnaround. I am unsure how this equates to 2 weeks waiting for your prescription, but if you would like to call the practice to discuss this further I would be happy to discuss this with you.     I have been with this surgery for a number of years and it has suffered like all others with getting appointments. Now has a new system called Patchs which seems to work exceptionally well. Most people will get a same day appointment, all arranged on the internet, so you don't have to hang on the phone for ages. Much improved.

    Dear Mr Winter, Thank you for your lovely review. I am glad your experience with PATCHS has been positive. I really think it has transformed access to appointments and since introduction a couple of months ago we have not had to ask anyone to call back as we are out of appointments. We are triaging 900 PATCHS request per week, its a huge undertaking and a lot of work for the clinicians and support staff but we are trying to improve services and make getting through on the phones easier for those that have no other option available to them.     Telephone appointment with a doctor who mistook endocrinology for endoscopy and insisted that I had had an endoscopy. I think I might have remembered if I had. Couldn't understand what he was saying but before I had the opportunity to ask him to repeat it, he promptly hung up.

    Dear Mrs Harvey, Thank you for your review and comments about the practice. I have listened to the call and I feel I should clarify some points you have raised. The GP initially mentioned endoscopy as this is what he was advised the call was regarding on the booking notes, a simple miscommunication that was rectified within 5 seconds. The call continued and your treatment plan was discussed in full, and the GP took the time to repeat and give you clarification when you asked for it. The call ended following him explaining the process to you a second time at your request and the call was ended in a friendly and courteous manner. Kind regards Caroline Jones Practice Manager
