    I sent my prescription request few hours ago and I have already received a text message to say that it has been sent to my pharmacy. I am very happy with the service as always. I am going away today and it was very important for me to get the prescription. I just want to thank your department who sends the prescriptions

    Normally the service and doctors and staff are polite and act in a respectful and professional way. Have had some instances where I have felt like I should have not booked an appointment and bothered the staff and doctors. The surgery sends us a message view your test results and I am saying about my self if I could read and understand the results than I would not need a GP to consult. I my opinion the surgery should get a trained person to ring the patient and speak to them about the outcome of the results. We can only ring between 12pm to 1pm to speak to a doctor to explain the results. One does ring and you could be the 23 patients in line waiting to speak with the doctor. This can take over 1 hour waiting to speak to the doctor.

    Many thanks for leaving your feedback, which is really valuable to us. We appreciate your comments about the test results system. We know that there are limitations with the 12-1pm service, including having to wait a long time sometimes. We have been working on this recently, and in the last week or so have been trialling a new system where timed slots are allocated to patients so that they can speak with their clinician about results, without having to hold on the line. We will monitor this new system and its efficiency!     I had tried to get my prescription on line over the bank holiday but there was a problem I phoned the surgery on the Tuesday and explained the situation the receptionist was very helpful and understanding as I only had a days worth of medication With in 5 minutes I had a text message explaining my prescription had been sent over to the chemist this request was delt with promptly and with no worries

    I had an appointment today at 15:40 but had to wait for 35 minutes till I had been seen by the doctor . Last time I had taken a appointment for my son as he was not well but was late for 2 Mintues and the reception cancled my son appointment which is not fair

    On contacting my practice Hiyos today for repeat prescription, it was fairly easy and quick process on connecting with the respected personnel who made note of my requirement and I received an immediate confirmation within an hour of the prescription request being forwarded to the pharmacy and the pharmacy acknowledging the request. That was quite fast service.. Keep it up Hiyos!

    Have been my GP for many years and overall it's a good practice. People are polite and the clinic is well maintained. Today I contacted them for an allergy issue with my nose and they have provided medicines which helped in treatment. There are many doctors here and hence can't give a generic comment on the doctors expertise as I had mixed experiences with some of them. What I don't like is their booking system which is purely over telephone and one need to call between 8am to 10am which is school run period and we will be on hold for 20 mins or more. They should increase the time period or add an extra slot in the evening from 4pm to 5pm which will really help us all. Or introduce online booking for non urgent cases at least.

    The doctor saw me and prescribed antibiotics and was told it is sent to chemist digital y said I needed to wait as it will take an hour. I said no problem will do my shopping and then collect my prescription . An hour later went to collect my prescription and got told nothing has been sent . I walked back to the First practice and was informed that the doctor needs to send it. It took 10 minutes for them to send it to the chemist. I walked to the pharmacy to collect my prescription and then I was told the pharmacy staff are going on a break and I need to come back at 5 pm . That’s one and half hours wasted of my time and not getting my antibiotics because of the First practice didn’t send my prescription. As I patient I respect the doctors and pharmacist roles but to make someone wait that long is outrageous. I had all my shopping frozen food and had to wait another 30 minutes before I could get my antibiotic and then go home . I saw the doctor at 3:10 and still waiting for the pharmacy to open at 5 pm . I won’t get home till 6 pm.

    Thank you Shirley, for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're very sorry you've had a frustrating experience with your prescription. We have worked hard to provide a service which prevents our patients waiting too long for their medication, so it's disappointing to hear that something went wrong here. We will be looking at your experience and discussing internally how we can learn from it. Some clinicians see patients but are not able to prescribe and so the prescription must be signed by a different clinician. There should be no delay in doing that, however.
