When to call 119

You can call 119 if you need help with COVID-19 vaccinations or testing and you cannot do this online.

Calls to 119 are free from mobiles and landlines. 119 provides support in 200 languages.

Help with a COVID-19 vaccination

You can call 119 to:

  • book a seasonal COVID-19 vaccination appointment
  • cancel and rebook COVID-19 vaccination appointments

119 has the same appointments that are available online. There are no additional appointments available by calling 119.

Lines are open:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm

Lines are closed at weekends and on bank holidays.

Help with COVID-19 testing

You can call 119 to:

  • get help reporting a positive or void lateral flow test result
  • get guidance on how to do tests
  • ask questions related to travel and testing
  • complain about a testing service or get advice about how to complain

Lines are open:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm

Lines are closed at weekends and on bank holidays.

Information:

You can no longer report a negative result to 119, unless you are going into hospital and need to provide evidence of a negative result.
