Results of Community Pharmacy Survey Questionnaire January 2017
Cedric’s Chemist Festival Hall
During January 2017 we asked our customers to complete a satisfaction questionnaire.
Who we asked:
70% of the people who completed the questionnaire were female, while 30% were male. The people we asked fell into the following age brackets;
76% of the above choose to visit Cedric's Chemist when possible while 8% use Cedric's as well as a number of other pharmacies regularly. 14% used Cedric's as it was the most convenient pharmacy on the day.
74% of people asked were collecting a prescription for themselves, 18% were collecting for somebody else and 8% were collecting for themselves and another person.
68% of people asked were able to collect their prescription straight away, 30% waited in the pharmacy while it was made up and 2% had to call back to collect their prescription.
Overall 98% were very satisfied with the time it took to provide their prescription and/or any other NHS Services that were required while 2% said they were not at all satisfied.
We asked people to rate the pharmacy on the following;
Cleanliness of the pharmacy 100% said fairly/very good
Comfort and convenience of the waiting areas 100% said fairly/very good
Stock of medicines and/or appliances 98% said fairly or very good
Clear and well organised layout 100% said fairly/very good
Waiting time to be served 100% said fairly/very good
Availability of an are where you could speak in private without being overheard 98% said fairly or very good
We asked you to rate our pharmacy staff on the following;
Being polite and taking the time to listen to what you want 100% said fairly/very good
Answering any queries you may have 100% said fairly/very good
The service you received from the pharmacist 100% said fairly/very good
The service you received from the other pharmacy staff 100% said fairly/very good
Providing an efficient service 98% said fairly/very good
The staff overall 100% said fairly/very good
We asked you to rate how well we provide the following services;
Providing advice on a current health problem or a longer term health condition 100% said fairly/very well
Providing general advice on leading a more healthy lifestyle 100% said fairly/very well
Disposing of medicines that you no longer need 98% said fairly/very well
Providing advice on health service or information available elsewhere 100% said fairly/very well
Out of the people we asked to complete the questionnaire, 2% of people had received stop smoking advice, 10% of people had received healthy eating advice and 6% of people received physical exercise advice.
We are in the process of becoming a Healthy Living Pharmacy which aims to target local health concerns and approach them in pharmacy by providing more in depth advice and information. We will soon have two accredited Health Champions leading health promotions and we hope to increase this number significantly by 2018.
