Apparently there are problems with staff sickness at the moment at the pharmacy in Blackburn Road. This morning was absolutely chaotic and the 3 staff on duty were overwhelmed. The queue of people hoping to get their prescription was long, some saying they had tried earlier in the week but had left in frustration. The prescription that I was needing was ordered on Tuesday, it had not been retrieved from the computer until I requested it. Sadly this deteriorating service began with the take over by Well pharmacy. I along with many other customers will be looking into changing to another pharmacy. I wonder at the message on the counter regrarding staff sickness is genuine. Surely an organisation of this size would have resources available to assist a pharmacy struggling to cope.

I booked a flu jab for 10 Sept via the app following an invite. I received reminders for the appt. I turned up to be advised that it had been cancelled and they'd called everyone to let them know. Obviously not! I rebooked for over 4 weeks later, turned up to a chaotic pharmacy and was told to take a seat. 15 mins later I was asked into the room, the girl had the wrong name, completed a firm for a free vaccination when I'd already paid and there were other patients paperwork on the table. I did get my flu jab but nearly missed a meeting as I was there for nearly 30 mins. Customers were being told they hadn't had prescriptions and they needed to check with the GP surgery. One lady did and returned whilst I was waiting to advise they'd had the prescription for 3 days which they then found and made up. This used to be a really efficient and helpful pharmacy, but I'm seriously considering getting my prescription made up elsewhere now!

Staff always excellent very helpful and polite. If i need anything they are always ready to order for me. Very reliable chemist.
