Review titled Poor service and communication to disabled patient
Rated 1 star out of 5

On Wednesday I organised for my medication to be delivered to my home on Friday (today), I explained due to my health I will be in hospital on Friday to an appointment so can the delivery be put in my safe space that I gave them, they agreed. Today, I was made aware by my elderly and disabled family member that it wasn't delivered, they looked at the ring doorbell and the gentleman didn't leave it. However, very mice of him to attempt twice, which shows that he wasn't made aware of the safe space. I then called the pharmacy, the pharmacist picked up the call, I explained what happened and the pharmacist said "I don't work here often and I'm rushed off my feet, I don't know what I can do, please get someone to collect your medication" and she hung up the phone. I called back and made her aware that firstly, I don't have anyone to support, as otherwise I wouldn't have arranged a delivery. She tried to argue and say how busy she was, I said, all she needed to do was make me aware of when this could be re-delivered to the safe place. I made her aware of how awful her customer service was and how I would like a call back. I did have a call back just now from a lovely lady. She has now arranged my delivery for Monday. However, I do feel this needs to be posted so you can safeguard your other patients and train your locum pharmacist in customer service and empathy.

Review titled Unbelievable

Made an appointment for my frail octogenarian father to have a Covid jab in 6th May. Fantastic I thought, as not working that day so can save my precious leave for his numerous medical appointments. Had confirmation email, at least 2 texts which was grand. Set out in the cold and rain and arrived at Villapharm at 3.30. Nothing. Lights off, door locked, no one about. Stood like a lemon with freezing cold, dripping wet father in utter disbelief for a few minutes. No number to call. Gave up and trudged home cold and soaking wet. But not before another prospective jabbie arrived and chatting to them about the extreme incompetence.

Review titled Not a good experience

I took my 97 year old mother for a covid booster at an appointment time booked on the NHS website. We were ten minutes early for the appointment. We were told the vaccinations finished for the day ten minutes earlier and they didn’t do appointment times anyway. They only offered a walk in service. I’m not sure if this is a problem with the pharmacy or with the NHS website or both but given the time involved - the distance to travel and the arrangements to be made it was a very frustrating experience. I think the NHS does a great job under enormous pressures but I think a lot of people would be very grateful if admin issues like this could be ironed out as quickly as possible.
