Review titled Pharmacist Poor Service

I am in my 70’s and had received an insect sting that had got badly infected. It was 8 pm so my wife called NHS 111 and described the problem to a nurse. The nurse said I must make my way immediately to the Tesco Pharmacy in Hattersley and she would send the Pharmacist a referral. I managed to get to the Pharmacy by 8:30 pm and spoke to the Pharmacist. He said he was unable to carry out an assessment as he was on his own and asked if I could come back in the morning. I let him see the badly infected wound and asked him if it was likely to be dangerous. He said it could be but still refused treatment. I went to my local pharmacy next morning and Catherine Pharmacist there could not believe I was refused treatment. I was assessed and given a prescription for antibiotics. This incident took place on Tuesday 9th April 2024.
