  1. Review titled Avoid this pharmacy at all costs

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Sofia R - Posted on 27 May 2025

Truly appalling service, never seen anything like it before. They don’t pick up the phone, they don’t order your prescriptions after the GP has given them approval, they never let you know if a prescription is ready for collection — and they keep making excuses to somehow try to pin all their shortcomings on the customer. Here’s one of many examples, from today: my medication was approved by my GP and I hadn’t received any news from St. Clare nearly two weeks later. I phoned them repeatedly (at different times of the day), yet my calls were never taken — at some point, they even started picking up the phone only to hang up immediately. I decided to go in and make the call from inside the shop to see what was going on. There were 3 staff members in there and a single customer, who was already being served. Again, no one picked up the phone. When I confronted them about it, one of them had the nerve to say they don’t pick up the phone because they are busy making sure customers aren’t given the wrong medication. When it was my turn to be served, they said my medication wasn’t in stock. I asked why, since it had been approved nearly two weeks back, and they gave me some bogus answer that I needed to have called the pharmacy and asked them to order the medication after the GP had sent them the approved prescription — which is ridiculous anyway, but even more so when you take into account that they simply do not answer the phone. So in short: you’re left without medication because they don’t order it unless you call them to chase it up, but if you did call them you’d still be without medication anyway because you can’t reach them. And even if you miraculously manage to get past all of that, you may still be left without medication because they don’t call or text to let you know that it’s ready for collection (the guy said “there are too many customers, we can’t be calling each and every one”). This is not to mention many other issues faced by myself and other customers that I’ve seen. A complete lack of respect for people’s time and health, please take the reviews to heart and find another pharmacy.

I had an excellent experience here with friendly and professional staff, who really helped reassure me regarding my blood pressure. They were kind, helpful and knowledgeable, and I would definitely recommend them.

Twice urgent prescriptions sent by GP, said that prescriptions not received, had to get the code from GP surgery for them to admit that they had received it , service very poor this attitude can endanger lives .
