  2. Review titled So rude pharmacist needs a reality check.

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 April 2025

Came in to collect a prescription for my Nanna and the wait to be seen was out the door. When I finally got in to be seen they just shout at you from the back and I have hearing problems. When I tried to explain this she let out a massive sigh and said just write it down on the paper at the front. The pharmacist told the younger girl to grab it but she was on the phone and then the pharmacist started shouting at her! Everyone was staring at this poor lass I felt so bad for her. There was a blonde woman in-front of me and she started to film this interaction and explained she will be putting in a formal complaint as this isn’t the first time this pharmacist shouted at staff with the shop full. The pharmacist then explained it’s her family’s shop and they can deal with their staff how they see fit. I could not believe the audacity of this woman and how mean she was being. They then closed for lunch and explained I’ll have to come back to which i said no I’ll take the prescription some place else she told me this couldn’t be done as they have ordered the items in. This went back clans forth which resulted in me having to sit in my car waiting for an hour to go back for the prescription after lunch. The doctors surgery next door is incredible but the pharmacy really let this practise down. You need to be looking into the management there and wonder why they have such a high staff turn over. Each time you go in there’s new staff and you ask where the old ones are and your old oh they wasn’t good. The blonde girl that worked there was so nice when I went a month or so ago. Actually spoke to the customers like humans and even came form behind the desk to sit and explain something to an older man who struggled with his hearing. My dad even made a comment to the pharmacist about her on the way out how nice she was. The other girl that left to go Spain was amazing also. Why do they treat the staff so bad they constantly have to hire replacements. Springfield need to look into that place and wonder why no one uses them anymore and they take all the prescriptions some place else. My whole family refuse to use them and ask for paper prescriptions when we go doctor just so we can avoid using this woman.

  3. Review titled Heaven sent

As a patient of Springfield GP surgery for over a decade, my daughter also, I would just like to say thank you all the staff at the pharmacy who are always polite, kind and work so very hard. Even when you are busy, your staff remain calm and gracious. It makes me sad though that some of those they help chose to be rude rather than grateful. My last visit was on a very busy afternoon and I could not fault your pharmacy. Thanks so much for helping our local community.

I called in for my mums prescription today as it hadn't been delivered I asked why because it had the 21st Feb on it a young girl said it was because they were waiting for 1 item but checked the bag and that certain item had the same date as all the others so she blatantly lied to my face absolutely disgusting there was a medication for my mums heart in that bag for her heart that she had ran out of and they would have left her without if I hadn't gone in

  5. Review titled Stressful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Will say my experiences with this chemist get worse each time, the staff are rude with no manners bar 1 or 2, forever having to wait for items, the service is poor altogether even with the delivery service it’s no better. There’s always an issue with something everytime and the opening hours are wrong. As well as closing at dinner and not open on a Saturday yet there always behind with prescriptions. Spent a full day waiting for a prescription to be done and rang about 6 times and was being cut off at one point. Got there at 6.20 and the women was locking up. I was drenched & explained I’d been waiting all day for them to sort the prescription and the website & phone line state it’s open till 6.30 and she’s like oh hasn’t he changed it and had to wait till the Monday to get the prescription. No compassion or care expressed & also no privacy when being served either. Sad times for that place

  6. Review titled So unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

I recently changed my pharmacy to this one as it was closer to home and I absolutely regret it. Firstly when they serve you, they serve you from a distance so there is no privacy whatsoever. I had to go to a different pharmacy to request something else I needed as I felt too embarrassed to shout it out infront of all the customers. Secondly, I don’t mind waiting I understand that sometimes it takes time but the staff were busy having conversations loudly about taking days off, and another staff member constantly repeating for other staff members to help her. Thirdly and the worst was hearing one of the staff member arguing and being absolutely rude to another staff member regarding answering the phone. Not coming here again. So unprofessional and no privacy whatsoever. something has to be done about it.

  7. Review titled General feedback

Firstly, please can I add that I frequently use your pharmacy and I always find that the staff are warm, friendly and very approachable. I have never had an issue and always feel that the staff genuinely want to help you. However, today was a very different experience. I came in today to collect an item I had ordered and was advised that it would be ready for me today. I came after lunch and was acknowledged by a gentleman I hadn’t seen there before. There was no ‘hello’ or warm manner, just abruptly shouted across the pharmacy ‘who’s next?’. I replied that I was collecting a prescription for myself. He obviously went to look for it and then shouted back again ‘it’s not here. It needs ordering’. I explained that I had been in the previous day and was informed it would be there that afternoon - hence why I left it until today to make sure it was in. He then replied ‘well it’s not here’. I then had to ask when he thought it would be in, to which he said ‘I don’t know, maybe up to 6:30 this evening’. I then asked for my prescription and advised I would look elsewhere. He didn’t reply and shouted ‘so what you gonna do then?’. I explained again that I would take my prescription to another chemist and left. This man was so abrupt and rude in his manner it really upset me, to the point where I didn’t feel I could approach it with him, based on his attitude. I was left feeling quite tearful and shocked that this altercation just occurred, given that I always find the staff so lovely. I wanted to feed this back for future interactions he has with patients, knowing that people who visit the chemist clearly have a health concern. I didn’t feel comfortable asking for his name.

  9. Review titled Chemist/pharmacy!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

After visiting the doctors a number of times over the past year Or so I’ve had nothing but trouble with the pharmacy and the staff in there! It has been shocking to the extent I was waiting nearly a hour for a perscription to Be told it wasn’t there and I was to ‘ find somewhere else ‘ this was a A few months back I contacted the doctors to tell them I was unable to get my perscription from anywhere else and asked them to give me a substitute.. a lady behind the desk went into the pharmacy and came back to tell us it had been there all along! After me travelling all over!!! The staff in there are rude and aren’t interested. However the past past few times I’ve had to pick up a perscription the new lady behind the counter in the pharmacy has been fantastic! That chemist would be lost without her! She’s polite, friendly and happy to answer any queries and gets your perscription sorted right away!
