I went to Shaftsbury Pharmacy for my Covid vaccination (the 7th) as recommended by NHS. The staff were very polite. After filling in the necessary form I was given the vaccination without any problem

Went with an elderly friend for her Covid vaccine, staff all kind and considerate. Parking outside and chairs with screens to wait inside. They facilitated me to get mine at the same time. Good work.

Had my Spring Covid Booster yesterday, 1st time at this Pharmacy. Extremely well organised, very friendly, caring & polite staff. Will definitely opt to go there for my Autumn Booster.

Last week I took the opportunity to have my blood pressure taken, which is a free service at this pharmacy. It was a bit high, so they suggested I have a monitor attached for 24hrs. I booked this for this week. Again it highlighted some concerns. The results were sent straight to my GP, who have since been in touch. Without this I wouldn't know I had a problem. Thank you.

Amanda, we are delighted that your high blood pressure was identified and referred for further consultation. This service is free to anyone over 40 and has undiagnosed blood pressure. We have been able to refer numerous patients who have had high blood pressure and not been aware, so it can be life-saving. Your positive feedback is appreciated and good luck with your follow-ups. It is hard to express how pivotal this awesome family owned and run pharmacy has been for my family. We’ve been using this pharmacy since before the expansion having moved into the borough in 1997. My son was only a year old then but is now a medical doctor n the NHS himself. The cleanliness of the place, the friendliness and that special touch of being called by name on a visit are the things that make the experiences special. As long as we’re in Harrow, this is “the” pharmacy for my family. My wife even got a special call on her 50th birthday about 3 years ago out of the blue. She really appreciated it as she was one of the severely vulnerable people during the pandemic period. We are grateful for your service , not just to my family , but to the community as a whole. Well done!

I have very complex medical issues, most of my care is private at the moment and I’m trialling different medications often. The pharmacist has helped me and guided me with the issues I was having with a controlled drug. My medication had run out, both consultants were unavailable (holidays) and my GP couldn’t find the letters to continue my medication. My GP is really letting me down and without the pharmacist’s help, I would have ended up being readmitted to hospital, and I only just got discharged after a 6 week stay! The team here had infinite patience, and spent a lot of their time helping me in a difficult situation. My medication is not a common one, they ordered it quickly and ensured that as soon as the correct prescription came following all the legal guidelines, they could quickly dispense it to me. Without this medication I am unable to eat or drink without vomiting everything- I was getting very dehydrated and thanks to their efficiency and care I was able to take my medication and rehydrate and manage my pain. I cannot recommend this pharmacy enough, especially if your medications or conditions are complex. They were very empathetic with my pain and just made everything so much easier. I am so so grateful- thank you so much the entire team!

Firstly, and most importantly, you were able to receive your urgent medications in time, without requiring urgent care in a hospital. That had been our ultimate aim. I am pleased that we were able to source the medication and provided you with the guidance in the protocol necessary for this specific medication. Thank you for your positive feedback and compliments, and willing to support in the future when necessary, and with urgency, particularly considering your personal health issues. I was aware of the extreme pain you were experiencing and it warranted immediate attention.

My wife, neighbour and I had to use Shaftesbury Pharmacy for our booster COVID vaccinations. We used public transport and were there ages before our appointment time but were seen to immediately. Everyone was very courteous, knew exactly what they were doing, friendly and professional. Marvellous service.
