I rang Rowlands pharmacy about the possibility of obtaining my annual Flu jab there. I was told that yes I could but do not come in between the hours of 12.00 to 14.00 as this is lunch hour & the pharmacist wouldn't be available. I go into the pharmacy at 17.10 & ask if I may have the vaccine . I got told by a member of staff 'no not at this time' as she gazes at the clock in doing so. Then informs that the pharmacist is busy & I'll have to come back in 4 days time when a qualified pharmacist might be available to administer the vaccine. I have trouble with my mobility & being asked to come back again simply because it was getting near to their going home time in truth isn't good enough. It would've taken a couple of minutes & I was prepared to wait. Was given the reason for the 4day wait was because it was 'risky' coming back till then as their may not be a pharmacist on duty that's qualified to administer the vaccine. The pharmacist present at the time heard all this conversation but made no effort to help in the matter. Overall a very poor attitude towards customer relations, if they can't provide a satisfactory service they should not be participant's in offering the service in the first place. Being vulnerable I shall now have to make a visit to my G.P.s surgery which I was trying to avoid with my current mobility issues.
