  1. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had been in hospital almost 6 weeks, so had missed my `flu & Covid vaccines. Having been discharged from hospital on 30 November 2023, I rang my GP on 1 December 2023 to rearrange these vaccinations. Imagine my amazement when a pharmacist from Rimmington`s, Bradford, came to my home to vaccinate me that afternoon. Well done! Much appreciated.

  2. Review titled Exceptionally friendly and very helpful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had flu-jab at the Broadgate walk-in in Bradford yesterday. We went in because of the smiling staff member inviting people to come in. We are from Leeds and were a bit nervous. But the 3 staff members were so welcoming and friendly from start to finish. I cannot praise them enough. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Rimmingtons to the rescue

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I found that my regular essential eye drops had been ordered, but because of an error, had not been allocated to a pharmacy. As it was Saturday, and my chemist wasn't opened I went to town and discussed my need with them. They interrogated the Spine, found and dispensed my drops. I need them 6 times a day, so was very thankful for them to gi beyond expectations with their service. Thank Rimmingtons.

  4. Review titled Awful- did not arrive at Withernsea covid vaccine

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mrs Mackenzie - Posted on 16 February 2023

Had a covid booster booked for today via the NHS website with Rimmington Pharmacy in Withernsea. Arrived to find the place was locked up. Rang the pharmacy and was told the session was cancelled. I received no notification of this despite having been texted confirmation of the booking. The person on the phone also put the phone down on me when I asked what had happened. Was told by my local doctors this was not the first time they had not turned up. Very disappointing, could easily have been saved the 1hr round trip by a simple text.

Had a vaccine booked through nhs website and it was closed on arrival. It was a Sunday but if closed then the bookings shouldn't be taken.

  6. Review titled Awful experience

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Queues at Market Weighton, were long and slow. Queued in the open, then long narrow corridor, too many people in it. Not a nice experience. Took my blood pressure and machine kept stopping and starting, my fingers were tingling and then told my BP was slightly high! Hardly surprising as I had already said I suffered with anxiety

  8. Review titled Not as well organised as last year

Rated 3 stars out of 5

    by Jane R - Posted on 20 September 2022

Not as well organised as last year when a tent was erected at the rear entrance of the Bradford pharmacy & people with appointments were received & vaccinated promptly on time. Thereafter they were shown to the front part of the shop area where seating was available to wait your 15 mins for any adverse reaction. This time that area was used for people coming for vaccination, whether with an appointment or not. Arrival arrangements were not clear, esp since my appointment was 2.30 & the staff lunch break was 1pm - 2.30pm. This meant that vaccinations did not start at my appointment time since everyone in the waiting area, which was full, had to be checked against an appointments list & given a number to go in. I was no 8, as others also had my same 2.30pm appointment. I presume walk-in clients were at the back of the appointment queue, which could keep filling, or were advised to make an appointment if their own. The waiting area was small. It was impossible to socially distance & most of us were not wearing masks. None were offered, even though we were advised to wear unless exempt. The vaccination itself was quick, easy & (almost!) painless. Lol. The vaccinator was friendly, pleasant & open to answering all my questions. The standard flu jab was offered to those wanting it at the same time. I declined, as I like to know if I have a reaction, what I am reacting to. Given I am nearly 70, I asked about the pneumonia jab, but was told it is not currently being stocked. This has been the case everywhere I've enquired, which I feel is an omission in current times, & for the older population generally. I did sit for 15 minutes after the jab, but was told not necessary, even though I was told it would be necessary at the online booking. It would have been a logistical problem in this chemist if everyone had wanted to sit in the same small waiting area as those coming in for their jabs. In short, I love this original Rimmington's in Bradford &, despite its old-fashioned layout, I know this process can be organised better because it was previously. I recommend going back to that next time, which would help the staff & shop customers as well as walk-in & book booster clients.

  9. Review titled No complaints from me!II

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John D Nunnington - Posted on 28 April 2022

This is concerning the service that I received at Wisewood Methodist Church, Ben Lane Sheffield, on Thursday April 28th 2022, when having my 2nd covid-19 booster injection for the over 75s. Being for-warned by an earlier review, I arrived at the centre at 13:50 for my 14:30 appointment. There was nobody waiting, in a queue or otherwise. The centre was closed for lunch and opened at spot on 13:55 by which time there were 5 of us patients waiting. After we entered the centre and registered at the front desk we were guided into the main hall where there was ample seating, in front of several booths, where the injections were taking place. I went into 'my' booth and was out within a couple of minutes or so. All the staff I talked to were quite courteous and polite. I was then walking out of the centre's doors at exactly 14:07, some 23 minutes before the time for my appointment. All in all a good experience, even to the extent that 'I didn't feel a thing!'
