Be prepared to wait ages in this pharmacy I have medication to pick up monthly and I dread the day I have to go. Always lots of people waiting mostly for prescriptions. I have been in twice this week but couldn’t wait. Tried again today and took 35 minutes until my medication was given to me. It’s a joke The staff seem to be dashing around but getting nowhere It cannot go on this way

I was able to pickup my husband and my medication today -only one person ahead of me in the shop and service with a smile .

This was a friendly, helpful and well organised pharmacy for many years - then COVID hit. The pandemic effected every healthcare place on earth but Rhodes Pharmacy never got over it. It always seems chaotic, with the (admittedly very friendly) staff permanently running around for ages trying to locate prescriptions, often unsuccesfully, that have been with them for days. If you are retired and have all the time in the world to sit around - cool. But the idea of 'popping in' to buy pharmaceuticals or products is a thing of the past. You can be waiting for ages, as the shop slowly fills up with people aimless milling around waiting to be served, as no-one knows where the queues start or end (especially not the staff), as customers get increasingly het up and vocal with the general disorganisation. It used to be such a great pharmacy - a real shame.

My mother has COPD, she is very poorly with a bad cough and cold. She called the GP first thing who prescribed antibiotics, was told they would be ready now. Tried to collect them at 1.30 pm but was told not ready, to come back at 5.30pm. Tried to collect again at that time but again was told they were not ready. We were told to come back tomorrow. Absolutely disgusting.

Prescription arrived from Doctors on Monday (6/02). Call to pick up medication Friday (10/2). I told after 1/2 hour wait the prescription has not been made up, come back later. On return to collect only 1/2 the prescription was ready, come back on Monday. Another 1/2 hour wait. People were walking in and straight out again.
