  1. Review titled Unpleasant experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Tonight I went to the pharmacy to get some help with pregnancy reflux. I was greeted by a lady who already seemed like she was in a bad mood as she snapped ‘yes, can I help?’ But in a manner that screamed, she didn’t really want to have to help. I explained I wanted some reflux medicine for reflux in pregnancy. She then disappeared for a couple of minutes and came back and held up a small bottle of gaviscon and said there’s this for £6.95 or you can have a bigger one for more money. I said oh I got a big bottle last week and the lady prescribed it for me on the minor ailments clinic, in the alternative form of gaviscon. She then disappeared for about 5 minutes and came back and said I shouldn’t have been prescribed it last week and it’s not safe in pregnancy so you can’t have it. I was very confused at this point as there was no such hassle the previous week and the lady was very helpful and sorted it straight away the last time. This lady though just kept saying no you can’t have it and there’s nothing else I can give you . At this point I just said I think you are being awkward and just forget it then. I went back to my car really upset that I had been declined something that I needed and was made to feel bad about asking for it. The whole purpose in the minor ailment clinic is to help patients get easier access to something they need without having to book in at the doctors . Tonight caused me unnecessary stress and I was made to feel penalised just because I am pregnant. Reflux medication is something I have always needed to use throughout pregnancies and I should not be made to feel ashamed about needing it. I was left really upset about my experience tonight. I went back to my car and just cried and felt let down.

Called in on the off chance of the flu vaccination. Prompt and sensitive service in which the assistant administered the vaccination. Excellent service.

every time i go to pick up my medication they say they haven’t got it, that they won’t give me it and to ring 111. had to get dr confirmation that they have no reason to withhold medication. at one point they even asked me why im needing my sertraline. snobby staff, always always a fight to get my medication which makes getting my antidepressants such a challenge

  4. Review titled Disappointing

Absolutely shocking that time there's been an issue regarding prescription, excuses about deliveries etc, why not order whats needed if prescription is expected! Never had an issue when chemist was still run by boots, ever since new company the service is beyond joke
